Wedding hair and makeup for me and bridesmaids?

I want to know if this seems OK: My wedding is going to be small (85 people) on the beach at 11 am on May 23rd. I plan on having a fake hair addition (just a clip to make my hair look like a curled pony tail--I'm lazy and cheap). I am thinking of having natural but a little heavier than normal makeup (do it myself or possibly having a friend helping). For my bridesmaids, I was thinking hair down and straight (do it yourself), and makeup a little lighter than mine (do it yourself or possibly a friend helping). We will be sleeping in a hotel together the night before and get up and get ready together.

Since my hair is going to be simple, is it wrong to tell my bridesmaids not to get their hair done professionally? I just think it will be too much for the simplicity of the wedding (David's Bridal wedding party).

I'm not requiring them to get their nails done, though they can.

Does this sound ok? Do you think anyone will complain or try to get themselves professionally done?Wedding hair and makeup for me and bridesmaids?
no heck no. i'd be thrilled if the bride told me i didn't have to get everything professionally done and could just do something relaxed, low key, natural.... sure you want to look pretty and your best that day too, but as i'm not the bride, i'd really rather not be spending a fortune getting that stuff done... i think you should just explain it to them like you just did... that's its a relaxed outdoor wedding and you don't think they should get their hair done, tell them to just leave it down and lightly style it themselves... any questions to let you know first. tell them the same for the makeup. if someone is really uncomfortable with makeup and hair doing, if one of your other girls can help them do theirs that'd be perfect.Wedding hair and makeup for me and bridesmaids?
What I would do is have them have any hairstyles approved before doing it. You want to see a picture of what they're thinking of. Some women, even for hair that's just straightened, are going to want to get it done professionally--and that's fine, as long as it fits within the parameters of what you, the bride, want.

Also, I would avoid having the bridesmaids makeup lighter--they'll be in photographs as well, and photography really washes out most people. You're going to want them in a little heavier than normal makeup, or they'll look washed out in your color pics. B%26amp;W won't be a problem, but color will. Think about that.

Another thought I just had--don't have the bridesmaids each have the same hairdo. Let each wear their hair casually, but in a style that's becoming to her. You don't want them looking like a row of Barbie dolls on the beach, with matching hair and makeup.

Good luck!
just get them all together and talk about the feel you want for the wedding and then go into how you want them to look. just present it as an au natural thing and instead of saying- i don't want you getting your hair professionally done say something like- and unless anyone has some serious objections i'd prefer that everyone wear their hair down and straight and make-up light to keep with this over all feel. it may seem a little silly but because things are so simple i want the differences between us to be subtle.

and i don't see how someone could get themselves professionally done if you are all getting ready together- but you need to be upfront about this from the beginning so they don't get a ton of their own ideas or make their own plans. i am sure they will be happy to help you out however they can and do their best to keep you happy by fulfilling your vision. and if stuff doesn't go exactly how you planed.... the most important thing is your marriage not how these chicas look and it's probably not grounds for the end of a friendship if they're deviants... but it all depends

congrats and best of luck
No idea, but odds are someone will have some gripe about something, whether it's this or something else. I would say that it is overall a good idea that you are not some kind of a control freak as to the hair and nails just being so-and-so. Of course, you do sort of run the risks of bridesmaids showing up with punk-style hairdos in outlandish colors or makeup or nails in a gothic style that some might find a bit garish or even shocking. A safe alternative would be for you and/or your fiancee or the hosts or those paying for the wedding to spring for a wedding makeup artist and hair stylist for you and the bridesmaids at an affordable group rate or with a group discount, regardless of whether you yourself use the individual for anything. Just a thought of course. CONGRATS.
ok they shouldn't have a problem with this if they are there for YOU and that is the way it should be. No one should outshine the bride. it is a beach theme just tell them to look nice but natural.. I think you should invest in some real hair instead of fake hair. (meaning that you can buy human hair) cause you do have to see the photos for the rest of your life and sooner than you think you will look at your hair and say oohh man I should have gotten real hair. tell the girls if they want to get something done get a mani pedi and go barefoot on the beach:)
no it's not okay. they are allowed to wear their hair however they want.
I think it's very controlling for a bride to insist on certain hair and makeup for the bridesmaids. It may be ';your day'; but don't you want your bridesmaids to feel at their best too? Let them decide what they want to do with hair and makeup. And if they do show up with professional hair and makeup, what then? Are you going to let that mess with your day?
If you don't want them to do it professionally, you might want to have some picture examples of what type of hair styles you would like them to have. You could also have a friend or someone available to help with hair. I know if I were a bridesmaid, I would be a little nervous to have to fix my own hair. I had to do it for my brother wedding... and let's just say I was terrible!

I like the pony tail idea. They can be really cute with some added curls from a curling iron.

As far as nails, you should at least ask them to paint them... they don't need to be a professional manicure.

Any tips for doing my own makeup....i'm going to be in a wedding?

take your timeAny tips for doing my own makeup....i'm going to be in a wedding?
Do not over wear make-up... Do basic colors such as browns, tans, golds, etc... you want to try to keep as simple with the make-up as you can. you dont want to be overbearing over the bride...its her night not yours.

Hope this helps!Any tips for doing my own makeup....i'm going to be in a wedding?
Remember that less is more.

Try to look as natural as possible.

Practice a few looks and take some polaroid shots before the big day so you can find the right look.

If you live on a limited income you should be talking to your social worker about how getting married may affect your SSI payments rather than mooning about DJs and flowers.

Additionally, is your fiance on limited income too? If so, then neither of you - singly or together - can afford the luxury of flowers and hotels etc.

This sounds harsh. And it is. But hey, your limited income needs to go for food, clothing, shelter - not for a fancy wedding (and even a very modest wedding is ';fancy'; when on limited income)

You need to get your priorities on straight, hon.Need recommendations for dj's, florists, hair/makeup %26amp; hotels for wedding 8/2010. live on LI %26amp; need leads?
ok there are many things you can do to plan a wedding on a fixed income..I AM lol

flowers- buy them from Marshals or any craft store you can get silk instead of real and it will save you TONS! (for the bride and bridesmaids get real flowers) the way you can do that is just buy a a thing of 12 roses or whatever flower then cut them get a piece of ribbon and make a bow very simple and elegant

dj / food and decor- get a venue that covers everything they are easy to find i have found like 20 in the houston area for my own wedding(4000)

but if they are still too expensive you can always a venue to rent for under 2000 then

    dj-

just get a friend to play your wedding playlist off of you laptop or someone elses

food- have friends and family bring food

decor- like i said craft stores=AWESOME

hotels (guessing for honeymoon)- look on ebay or something you can usually find cheap tickets and hotels for mayor cities

Help! need advice on makeup for wedding!!!?

I am one of the bridesmaids, this saturday is the wedding, my dress is cobalt (reddish) color, i have dark brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion, could anyone help me with colors to wear for makeup (eyeshadow color, eyeliner color, lipstick color, blush)??? I am not sure how to do my makeup to match the dress or can i wear any colors on my face...please help I don't want to get my makeup done by someone else, it always turns out bad..any advice would help ! thanks!!Help! need advice on makeup for wedding!!!?
    Hi,

I think a pearlish nude pink on the eyelid and for the outer rim a slightly darker shade of mauve. Again, it should be very light since your dress is such a rich color. Lightly line the top lid with brown eyeliner and smudge with q-tip across. Curl Eyelashes and use brown Mascara. As for blush you can use a barely there mauve or a light bronzer and highlight your cheeckbones with a slightly shimmery highlighter and a clear gloss or a lipstick thats light but matches the dress.

Hope that helps. I am sure you will look great!Help! need advice on makeup for wedding!!!?
what i would tell you is if you know some one who sells mary kay like me have them come to the wedding and do your make up or help you with what would look good
This would look great for you!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhJ7io6JL鈥?/a>
I thought cobalt was blue. If it's reddish, and you have brown hair and eyes, I'd keep my makeup very neutral and on the brown/beige side. I wouldn't go with anything too trendy. Keep it simple, classic and timeless. You don't want the bride's kids to look at your picture 30 years down the line and laugh at you for looking dated. :)
If you are trying for a natural look, use soft shade of metallic eye shadow, a light golden or bronzed color. You should wear a light charcoal grey, or brown eyeliner, the latter would be best. Your blush should be a light brownish red, to blend well, and a nude lip color, a peachy gold or soft pink, something that shimmers a bit perhaps. Go easy on the makeup overall, it is the Bride's day, but still do your best to look beautiful, there are makeup tutorials on plenty of sites if you google it. I'm sure you'll look fine, just take it easy and don't over do it.

Mary Kay can only be ordered from a catalog, and their website, if they have a store, I suppose there, but I've never seen one. I order Mary Kay, and my mother as well, they have many great products for beauty and skin care.
    go have it dne profeshanaly
i would try browns or subtle oranges or maybe. these would look best with RED dress, BROWN hair/eyes. avoid dark blue ,red ,pink ,purple ,green. try more autumn/earthy shades. hope that helps! why not buy a colour pallet of different colored eye shadows and test a bunch of differnent shades
i would go with browns or golds
I know just what you need. Forget the eyeshadow and eyeliner - put on BROWN mascara. Then put on a nudey peach color lip gloss and a touch of golden blush. For this outfit - go al naturale. because if you did the dramatic smoky eyes or something like that - it would totally clash with the red. Do what I told you and you will be gorgeous!
If it is a reddish color then I would definitely go with neutrals, %26amp; browns. Get some black mascara and some brown eye liner. I would use a taupe and brown shadow mixed together. You probably won't need much foundation, but I would put a bronzer on, that way you are sticking with the neutrals but still adding a bit of color to your face. Just smile a bit when you put it on and dab it onto the apples of your cheeks. The fullest part and sweep it upwards.

I would probably try and find a lip color and compliments the dress. And match it up with a lip liner.

Good luck! I hope all goes well!

Wedding day hair and makeup. Was yours the same as usual?or a step up/down from what you normally wear?

I have only gone for the trial so far, but my makeup is going to be a step up from normal. My hair however is what I was having a hard time with. Everyone keeps telling me it is a special day and i should do something different. I tried that for my hair trial (thank god!) and I hated it. So, while I am still having someone do my hair, and it will be curly, etc. it will still be down like I normally wear it cause that is the way I am comfortable. Wouldn't want to panic the morning of.Wedding day hair and makeup. Was yours the same as usual?or a step up/down from what you normally wear?
Mine was stepped way up from my normal....I usually never wear makeup, and just leave my hair down. On my wedding day, I had extensions in my hair, curls, pins, and a boat load of makeup.Wedding day hair and makeup. Was yours the same as usual?or a step up/down from what you normally wear?
we are doing a 1920 theme so I will have it up in the pin curl style of the late 1920s much more glamorous then my every day
    http://www.haircomesthebride.com/photo1.鈥?/a>

I had the picture on the left, i normally either wear my hair down or tied back into a pony tail, and when i see this style i loved it immeditely. My make up was also natural
well my makeup will be the same as usual i do it myself but my hair will be a step up i want to be an updo because it's going to be hot in august and normally i have it down.
I did my own makeup, maybe 1 degree more than usual. I had my hair down, but not like I would for the prom.

I didn't want to look overdone for my wedding because that's not I looked like when my fiance proposed.
I plan to do my regular thing, for the most part. We're getting married on teh beach in 2 weeks in St Thomas, and I might tone down the makeup due to having some natural color, but that would be the only real difference.
The thing I like most about being able to decide your hair for the wedding is that you can choose to have it however you want. If you don't want to look too made up like a doll, you could go with a nice casual hairstyle that is a small step up from what you normally wear. For instance, I've got wavy hair that is shoulder length and I always wear it down. I'm doing my hair in loose curls and wearing it partially up. You as a bride still want to look like yourself and sometimes the more elaborate or elegant hairstyle isn't the way to go. Simplicity is sometimes good for certain things and it will look wonderful on you if you don't do a hairstyle that you're not used to wearing. Think of it as a more mastered hairstyle with more to it.
Definitely a step up from normal. I had my hair curled and pulled back. My make-up was natural looking (my husband doesn't like heavy make-up) but still more than I usually wear. It helped me to feel extra beautiful on my wedding day.
a huge step up from the usual! i went to a hairdresser for a wash and set for the first time in my life. i wore lipstick for the first time in my life. i had a manicure for the first time in my life! of course i was young, it was a different time! and truthfully since that day almost 41 years ago, it has been very rare that i have worn anything more than lipstick and eye-shadow! i just never liked the feel of my face being covered with foundation and such! lol
I'm going to step it up, but I want to stay kinda natural so I still look like myself.
step up on my hair though as makeup i went more for the natural look
I was most adamant that I look like ME on my wedding day... only better! :)

So the makeup was natural tones that made me glow... and my hair was a fancier take on my normal low ponytail.
My hairdresser is going to open on a Sunday for me and my attendants to do our hair and makeup. It will not be an everyday look, that's for sure.
i never wear make up and i never have my hair ';fancy'; so it will be a major step up! i'm going to be a princess hehe all brides should be too!

    Makeup for blue wedding?

So, my best friend is getting married in September (I know, it's a long time away), and I will be wearing a royal blue gown. I have an olive complexion with dark hair and light blue eyes. How the heck should I do my makeup? Will blue be too much blue? If you can find any pics for suggestions that would be great!Makeup for blue wedding?
First of all, makeup shouldn't match your clothes, it should match your complexion/eye color. That being said, it's fun to find colors that match both.

I would go with silver or a smokey eye for an evening wedding.

    http://themakeupgirl.typepad.com/themake鈥?/a>

For a day wedding, you might want something more neutral.

    http://www.bulletmag.net/columns/aboutfa鈥?/a>

I would go to a makeup counter (or Bare Essentuals store if they're near you) and tell them exactly what you want. They can help you find the perfect look and then you can buy the makeup right there.

    Have fun!!

    Makeup for blue wedding?
You sound worried by blue, and like you mention blue just because you have no idea what ELSE to do, am I right?

If yes, I think you'd be most comfortable wearing greys/charcoals, it elegant, gorgeous and will go very well to complement both your coloring, and the blue dress. You could easily pull off blues with your coloring if you WANT to, but if you won't feel comfortable, then don't do it! Nothing's worse than feeling self-conscious!

Browns would also be nice if that's what you'd prefer, though I think it may blend a bit *too* seamlessly with your coloring, so I wouldn't say browns are the best choice if you're comfortable with the idea of a more grey/charcoal/slate palette! =o)

Also, keep in mind with blue eyes, wearing blues sorta becomes redundant!

For blue eyes, personally, I'd go either greys, or golden/orangey colors look phenomenal! It's quite bold though, so if you're at all shy with makeup, then don't do it, but if you like to play with color, i think you'll find that golden palettes really flatter blue eyes, especially with a darker skin tone vs. fair skinned!

    Have fun! =o)

**Edit: I'm sorry, I got lost for a minute, actually for olive if you use darker shades of brown (chestnut shade say, for the crease, the darkest color point) and line with charcoal or black, that can easily look incredible on your skin...I was thinking darker than olive at the point where I said don't do brown, brown is totally good if it's on the darker side of browns! =o)
I think silver would look nice with a smokey affect -Silver and blue were my wedding colors.

for make-up I would keep it semi-natural. curl your eyelashes and coat on the mascara, but do little or no eyeliner. use a nude tone or beige eyeshadow over the entire lid, brown at the crease (blend it), and then maybe a lighter nude, white, or light pink in the corners to brighten your eyes. a little blush. and very little light pink lipstick...don't do gloss. your hair will stick to it and so will your husband-to-be =). here's something like it:

Remember that on the beach, your hair will most likely be blowing about, so pick a style that will be comfortable in a breeze.

I went with my everyday hair style (but styled by a hairstylist so it looked just a bit nicer) and my everyday make-up because I wanted to look like me at my wedding and in our wedding pictures.
wear your hair down and curl it in reallly loose curls so it's kind of wavy, and maybe just pull a little bit of it up. for make up do two coats of mascara on top, light ( as in thin line) eyeliner on top and 3/4 of the way in on the bottom, use natural eyeshadow so like a light brownish color or gold, with a lighter shimmery color right below the brow bone,

one of my favorite eyeshadows is one of the maybelinnes with four different colors and they're all shimmery and goldish, then just wear a lip gloss. i really like sallly hansen diamond lip treatment in like champange or something, or the co bigelow stuff you can get at bath and bodyworks

    Makeup for the wedding?

what is a good brand of make up that i should wear at my wedding? i sweat when i get in front of people. so i want something to cut down on shine because my face shines in every pic i have ever had made and i hate it! i want something that will stay on and not smudgeMakeup for the wedding?

its expensive but worth itMakeup for the wedding?
My own personal favorite is MAC. Go to the store and they will do your make up for free is you make like a $45 purchase or something. It'll give you some ideas and from what i've seen they don't have you looking like a hooker like those creepy dept store ladies.
Maybe you should try the airbrush makeup. It is airbrushed and it'll stay on for the wedding. Two of my friends had the airbrushed makeup and it looked gorgeous and stayed on even at the reception. The only thing she brought was a compact for her forehead when she would get shiny (T zone). The makeup looks really nice and does not melt off
Any of the new kinds of mineral make-up. I posed a similar question on here a while back and since trying this stuff I will never use anything else. If you get the right color, it is flawless and smooth, shimmering particles in the minerals, reflect light away from the eye and completely cover every red mark, every imperfection and it is never heavy, oily or shiny. Try it, You'll LOVE!
Pressed powder. And make sure that it does not have any oil in it. Also one that is a ';long wear, and smudge proof'; would help.
Again I'm going with the mineral makeup option. There are several coming on the market besides Bare Escentuals that you can get at drugstores etc. You will not believe how flawless your face looks with a mineral foundation. Congratulations on your big day!!!!
Nicole Miller is the best because it will heal your skin and remove the oily spots all together.
try going to like a derm or a make-up specialist
go see the nearest prescriptive beauty adviser. and ask them about their anywhere and photo chrome foundations to use on your big day and how it will help you.
Clinique makeup is the best.If you go to like Macy's they will do your makeover(in this case bridal makeup) for free..You can even make an appointment for your wedding day.
You should try Mary Kay and you can have a facial done ahead of time to try it out!!!!

Makeup on wedding day, what to do?

Okay, I've been watching some tutorials on Youtube about makeup on my wedding day. I'm not going to go crazy over-the-top, I want to look like myself, but of course I want to look more flawless than an average day at work. Here is what I've come up with when sort of compiling the tutorials I've watched. Am I missing some steps?

    1. Start with clean face.

    2. Moisturize

    3. Primer

    ///Conceiler here?

    4. Foundation

    5. Set the foundation with a powder

    6. Chisel jawline and cheek hollow with bronzer or what?

    7. Apply blush

    8. Then lips, eyes, etc.

Are there any other tips for making my skin look smooth and photograph well? What about eyes and lips? I know how I want to apply them but are there any makeup secrets that will make me smudge proof and last longer? Thanks!Makeup on wedding day, what to do?
Always leave foundations, concealers and powders LAST. If you apply them first and then you apply your eye make-up, the eye make-up could smudge and then you'd have to whipe off everything and start over. So much easier to just wait until after you're done to apply your eyes.

You could also go to a MAC counter or store and let them know it's your wedding and would like a nice, natural look. The only rule is you need to buy $50 in products, but you get to choose whichever products you want.

I cannot stress enough how much you need to use primers! Eyeshadow primer (L'Oreal creaseless eyeshadow primer and Urban Decay Primer Potion) will keep your eyeshadows from creasing, running and disappearing off your lid. A foundation primer (Smashbox Photo Finish primer and Vagisil Anti-Chafe gel) will help your foundation last much longer and will make your skin look smoother and photograph better.

    Also, don't do anything to trendy or bright. Keep your hair and make-up classic and natural looking. You don't want to look at your wedding pictures 20 years from now and think ';WHAT was I thinking?!';

Good luck on your wedding day :)Makeup on wedding day, what to do?
If you wear eye make up (mascara will make your eyelashes look longer and thicker, eyeliner will make your eyes look wider depending on where you put it, the thickness, color...) Whatever you decide to do, don't wear the same amount of makeup on your eyes as lips. The makeup should focus on either the eyes or the lips-never both; or you'll end up looking like a clown. Try this website and see if it helps any! I hope you have a beautiful wedding!!!

Be as natural as possible. Your future spouse loves you for how you look every day, so look as close to that as possible!
Just try too Natural.GOD did not make an ugly WOMAN
try looking for wedding turtorials on youtube there is loads but the more you look at the harder it will be to decide
I hear that you should not use anything w/ shimmer because it doesnt look good on camera
what state do you live...... my mother works for Estee Lauder inside Macy's, and she will be glad to help you.........
In my experience, I've found that doing eyes first is easiest. That way, any eyeshadow fallout won't end up on my already done foundation, and if I end up screwing up my eyes, it's a little easier to take everything off and start all over again.

So I'd do something a little more like this:

    1. clean face

    2. Moisturize (Does your moisturizer have a SPF in it? Is your wedding outside, or do you think you'll be outside long enough to need a moisturizer with SPF in it?)

    3. Prime

    4. Conceal here. Yes.

    5. Eyes (Use a primer to keep your color vibrant and long-lasting, but always do your mascara last!)

    6. Foundation/powder (make sure you buff the powder in. You don't want to look chalky. I use powder foundation, and set it with a couple spritzes of MAC fix+ and it works like a charm.)

    7. Contour/highlight/blush

    8. Lips (Color your lips in with your lipliner before you apply your lipstick. It will help your color last longer. Also, try one of those ';outlast'; top coats. I think that might help as well. Goopy gloss won't last long at all, so keep that in mind.) and Mascara.

Give your makeup several ';trial runs'; when you have nothing else to do, just to see how long you can expect it to stay perfect on your wedding day. You should have enough time to tweak and change products until you get it perfect. If you're really feeling adventurous, go outside during the time of day you'll be getting married and take some pictures of your makeup to see how well it photographs.

I kept my makeup artist (who also happened to be one of my dear friends) close while we were doing our photos so she could make sure that my makeup behaved, and it did... I was just paranoid, haha. If you don't have an artist, maybe keep a bridesmaid or another friend nearby to help you out with any touch-ups you might need between shots.

Hope this helps! Good luck, and congratulations! %26lt;3%26lt;3%26lt;3

EDITED TO ADD: L'Oreal makes a great inexpensive primer for eyes. It's called ';De-Crease'; and you can pick it up from any drugstore for about $8. If you want something a little higher end, Urban Decay Primer Potion (aka UDPP) and Too Faced Shadow Insurance (aka TFSI) can be purchased at any Sephora or Ulta, or at Sephora.com or Ulta.com

For face primers, there's Smashbox Photo Finish Light... I think Sephora sells smaller sized versions of this for about $17-$20... just make sure you get the light one. Try it out waaaay before your wedding, because I understand that it very rarely breaks people out. I don't use a face primer, but I do keep oil blotting sheets on hand, because they keep my oily skin in check.

    Hope this helps, boo.

    Makeup for wedding in Hawaii?

I'm getting married on Monday in Hawaii on the beach %26amp; the ceremony will be at Sunset. I've decided to do my own makeup.

I was thinking of doing a smoky eye w/ pale pink lips %26amp; I was also thinking of using false eyelashes. Is that too much? Should I go more natural for the beach or will the pictures in the evening look better with more makeup?

I very rarely wear eyeshadow so if you have a link or advice on the perfect smoky eye could you post it?

    This is the everyday me:

    Thanks!Makeup for wedding in Hawaii?
Your eyelashes are beautiful the way they are. No need for lashes. Yes, I would go with some eyeshadow but not overboard. Smokey eyes are sooo pretty when they are done tastefully and not for the cover of some mag. I think for a sunset ceremony (awww how pretty it's going to be) you will definitely need some make up. Pictures usually wash the face out and may even more so at sunset.

    Go for it, sounds beautiful.

I do think you should wear makeup, the pictures at night will look better, and eye shadow can bring out your eyes, which you'll want on your wedding day :-)

Here is a website where they have video tutorials to show you how to create the smoky eye look. I strongly advise to practice this many many times! Get comfortable doing it and then you can even adjust it to your liking.

    good luck!
I agree..everyday look..is beautiful...you are great just they way you look now...I wouldnt do anything drastic being that you want to look like yourself when you say I do...what beach are you getting married at? what island??? I live on oahu!
I think your everyday look is awesome. Don't change a thing...
Our eyes are almost the same! It's pretty damn easy for us to get our eyes to stand out isn't it? Good thing too, because I'm 30 and I still can't do perfect (or even near) smokey eyes. I always end up looking like I got punched. So, Good luck with that part! I can't help there! Sorry! I did notice though, that in your pic your lips look a little washed out... sorry! You might want to add a little more color than you planned.

Are those your brows? Are they that full or are they tattooed?

Wow, and I've been screwing around with eye pencil all this time! They look natural and perfect, I was jealous when I saw them. Mine are kinda thin and sparce, but have good shape. One is much worse than the other, but I just had bangs cut that look a lot like yours, they cover up the more screwed up one, lol. I'm definitely going to try the MAC eyeshadow! Thanks!!!!

I really want to get a hair transplant done on my brows! I'll probably do it before my wedding in 2 years. Funny but crazy, huh? It's something I'm so self-conscious about so.... It's worth it!

Help. What makeup should i wear and bring to a wedding??

This wedding is out of town so i have to bring all of my makeup. There are no stores near by so i cant forget anything. I'm wearing a black dress so i want somthing simple but i also want it to stand out. What should i bring??Help. What makeup should i wear and bring to a wedding??
First try either the Silk Radiance , or Mineral Tides from Bee -Luscious cosmetics these powders will make your skin radiant and elegantly Timeless, I would use a neutral eyeliner with neutral eyeshadow, Mascara like the High Definition Mascara also from Bee-Luscious and a great finish would be the Lip Gloss wand in the color LUSH also from Bee Luscious, these are phenomenal quality and easy to get go on line and within a few days you have everything, the main company is beeroyalproducts.com Good LuckHelp. What makeup should i wear and bring to a wedding??
are you in the wedding? the reason i ask is because in pictures you don't want to look over done, but you should turn it up a notch, u have green eyes so stay with the soft greens, and blues and light shimmery browns, nothing to heavy because of you pale skin, you don't want to look like a clown, also if you can stop by your local make-up counter, I'm sure they can give u better advice, since they can see you...face-face good luck...have fun...

if they are brown...wear like green eyeshadow.....it depends
well since its out of town bring all your makeup. when your at the wedding make sure you have your eyeliner and maybe some facial wipes because we all sweat and smear.

if your wearing a black dress i suggest this eyechadow from NARS its real black and sparkley ....

the website under sources is for nars.. the eyeshadow is called BLACK BREED, its my fave

for lips maybe a glossy pink or red is in now (the mod look)
    Try this:

First, of course put on some foundation.

For eyes, put on some pinkish-gold cream eyeshadow on your top lids, making it more concentrated toward your eye and less concentrated as it goes toward your brow. Then put on liquid black liner, extending the line a little more after your eyelids end. Smudge a little bit of pencil liner (I recommend MAC's Eye Kohl in ';Phone Number,'; which I personally use) on your bottom lid.

For cheeks, put on your favorite blush or bronzer. Suck in your cheeks and brush upwards toward your cheekbones, so you don't look like one of those Russian doll things with just two bright pink circles on their cheeks. Blend into your natural foundation for a softer look.

For lips, swipe on a nude lipstick and then a clear gloss. (You can skip the nude lipstick if you want. If you aren't skipping it, I recommend Smashbox's Photo Finish Lipstick With Sila-Silk Technology. It costs about $22 and can be found at Sephora or at this link: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> Try the colors ';Charming'; or ';Elegant,'; depending on your skin color.) The clear gloss, however, is an absolute must. It'll make your lips shiny and attractively puckish in pictures. I disrecommend any other color, because your eyes and cheeks are already played up.

    As for what to bring....

Pack a cosmetics bag (try Bobbi Brown makeup case at http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/templ鈥?/a> ) with your liquid and pencil eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush and blush brush, and the clear lip gloss. Easy to fit in your purse, and it's there when you slip into the ladies' room for some touching-up.

Good luck with the wedding ... I'm sure you'll look great!

Remember that the key to wearing make up is to make it look like you don't have that much on. By saying that I would say just some powder and lipgloss, maybe mascara. Do you normally wear make up? Just don't look fake.

  • What is a cute makeup for a 16yeard old gurl who is going to a wedding?

well ur 16 the time that ur beauty blooms

so u dont wanna look loud .

    go ahead with pinks,mauves,peaches

    which oozes cuteness

lots of shimmer on cheekbones and eyelids ..u can use shades of pinks and peaches on eyes and cheeks with a shimmer dusting dotn overdo it cos u jsut want a hint of shine

glossy lips in shades of pinks

    lots of gloss

and hair should go in curls and waves which can nbe pinned or a simple neat high bun with curls falling on your face

    mascara for eye opening effect

ok all theb estWhat is a cute makeup for a 16yeard old gurl who is going to a wedding?
    light powder eyeshado

    white peach or lightblu

What ever goes with your gown

and a bita lip glossWhat is a cute makeup for a 16yeard old gurl who is going to a wedding?
soft makeup. this is a light happy event so don't bring it down with eyeliner. Use light powders and a natural look. And remember the bride should be the bell of the ball.
Translucent pink lip gloss and white gloss fingernails and toenails. Knock 'em out girlie.
something light and not overdone. if i were you, i wouldnt use foundation unless you had to. just use a light pink blush to add some color to your cheeks, use some color on your eyes, mascara, eye liner, and then just use a sheer gloss on your lips. something simple and very pretty.
A lot depends on your eye color and skin tone. I think a little shimmer under your eyes and would look good for a wedding. Choose color that contrast with your eyes. Don't go with dark colors like black (not good for a wedding :) ) Keep It simple but elegant, I hope that makes sense, and helps. Good Luck!
use a shimmery eyeshadow in a light brown or off-white shade. light pink blush and a clear or pale pink lip gloss should do it.
Something that is soft and compliments your features but that doesn't take away the brides moment

Some knows that does really nice makeup and hair for a wedding in watsonville,ca 95076?

try monterey, ca. they've got tons of places and even though its a slightly far drive, it's WORTH IT!

    Makeup for wedding?

I'm going to attend a wedding on Saturday. What type of makeup should I wear? (colors, techiniques, products)

I'm going to wear a strapless blue and white knee length dress with a white shrug, with pale metallic gold heels.

Hair: straight. maybe a cute clip, idk.Makeup for wedding?
go for earth tones with a touch of peach.

foundation:I suggest a liquid foundation for this to give you a natural look.

for your eyes: try a light brown eyeliner with a mixture of bronze and light brown lids. Don't forget mascara. A good volumizing mascara would be good. Try covergirl lashblast.

for your cheeks:a peach blush then swipe a bit of bronzer

on top to give you a nice glow

*it's best if you also apply the bronzer at the bottom of

your cheekbones on an upward stroke tracing your cheekbones so you would emphasize your cheekbones.

    for your lips:a peachy-pink gloss

lastly, don't forget to dust some finishing powder(maybelline has a good one) so your makeup stays all throughout the ceremony.Makeup for wedding?
I was always for subtleness. I'm not a huge makeup person, but for my wedding I used neutral colors - they work well with any color. I really like clinique. I've had their blush for almost 4 years and use it everyday and it's as gorgeous as ever. I would stick with something simple - medium around the eyes, light below the eyebrows, then a little darker over the crease. Smidge of light eyeliner and a little bit of mascara. A dusting of blush and a hint of lipgloss/stick and you should be good to go. That way you'll look good without looking overdone.

    HTH!
well im one of those people who always watches the style and wedding shows and they say to not go crazy with something new. to wear something natural with maybe a brighter color of lipstick. They also say to stay away from dark colors expecially if your going to be inside.

    hope this helps:)
Try using pink lipgloss for your lips, Use blue or white eye shadow but don't put too much... for your hair... just try to put a clip of anything you want that matches the color of your dress... And it's also depends on your skin tone... But don't make yourself too stylish cause like the others said... It will ruin the bride's day
i think just your regular makeup but with nicer lipgloss, or like a red or pink lipstick, would be great because it's not YOUR wedding (get it through your head people) and you don't want to outdo the bride lol. it's her day, be subtle.
the simple stuff nothing 2 brite like some light blush, mascara,a thin line of eyeliner nothing 2 fancy, idk, i hope this helps :D

oooo and some shiny lipgloss that makes u have luscious lips :D

olivey greenn eyeshadow, bronzer, a little blush
You can use either a green eyeshadow or Gold colours on your eyelids.

For the green eye look, use a peachy or sandy blush colour and a natural lipstick or gloss.

For the gold eye look, use more of a pink blush and pink gloss with gold sparkles.

Those who did your own makeup on your wedding day......?

can you share with me what foundation you used? Are you glad you did it yourself? Those who did your own makeup on your wedding day......?
I'd say go with what you usually wear! You should look the same on your wedding day as any other time! You do your own makeup every other day this way and are happy with it...if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Plus you are used to the way your own make up reacts to your skin....and vice versa. You have your technique down and it's workin' for ya!Those who did your own makeup on your wedding day......?
I did my own make up last summer for my wedding and it came out beautiful. I went to MAC and had them do a make over on me with my wedding in mind. The girl picked out the perfect colors that complimented me and my wedding colors. I used Studio Tech foundation with a medium blot powder over it. When doing your make up you want to put on just a tad more because of photos. Also don't wear moisturizer with sunscreen in it because it will make you look glossy and oily.
I used Maybelline Matte Mousse. I also had a compact to touch up, but I don't think I used it. A good photographer can touch up your makeup in your photos.

I'm glad I did my makeup. It was a little time I had to myself that I could collect my thoughts. Plus, makeup people also make you look like your in a glamour shot. Not the look you want for your wedding.

I bought different makeup products and tried them out. If you buy the for Walgreen's, they will accept your open makeup. Check with the store before you buy, but you should be able to do this at most stores.

    Good luck and congratulations!
A now-discontinued stick makeup that I bought at Sephora. I'd kill to find it again. The closest thing I've found since then is Mac Studio Tech, which is a creamy foundation in a compact that dries to a more powdery finish.

Yes I'm glad I did it myself; my pictures came out nice. The trick is to put on a much heavier layer of foundation and powder than you would wear to work or out at night. I do, however, wish I would have had a professional updo for my hair.
I'm going to be doing my own. I'm going to go to a department store and get a make-up ';make over'; all the make up counters and they will show you what looks best, what FOUNDATION you should use for your skin type, etc... its usually free (the make-over) or you just have t by one product. my friend works at a Este Lauder counter and she told me about it!

    good luck!
I did my own. Use a foundation that is cream or liquid but turns to powder. You'll also want to keep a compact with translucent power handy too, so your face won't get too shiny in pictures. Use an eyelash curler and mascara that won't run. And you'll probably want to refresh your lipstick often too for pictures. Your maid of honor should help you with all that.
Wear what you wear everyday as a based just put on ALOT more and invest in some good color stay lipstick.

Dream Matte Mousse is a wonderful base.

Covergirl has a great power that has light reflecting crystals which would look good under the lights and it lasts all day if applied right
I haven't done it yet, but I am planning on it. I am going to go to a makeup counter at a department store and get them to help me since they are good at helping get the right colors, etc.

    Good luck and Congrats!
I havent had my wedding yet but was given some very valuable advice- use a foundation without a sunscreen in it, as this attracts lights etc and causes alot to show up in photos.
I used bare minerals and I love it. Everyone said I love your makeup using it everytime I levae the house.
I used a powder based, then just a bit of eye shadow. Keep it simple since most photographers are able to edit the photos.
I used Revlon ColorStay with SoftFlex... and let me tell you, it feels weird. But that SoftFlex really works. My make-up was perfect all day... and all night... and well into the wee hours. LOL

oh my god.. i love it!!!

i dont know about a wedding, id say more for cat walk or photography makeup, but argh love it
the colors are beautiful, mayby just not all the way up to the browline kinda like a playful event and not a wedding but like i said the colors are beautiful go with the lid and the crease.
    No
i think its cute.. hell yea
no. its too much. not as much but in the same color would look pretty.
actually it is look weird as what it show in the link
No, it's cute but not for a wedding.
It's OK from the nose down. But the eyes are horrible, no offence. also I think the lips should be a little darker so that she shouldn't come uot pale in the photos.
no. Make up should be soft and natural looking. not like 4 year old painted her barbie.
Only if you have blue or green eyes. If your eyes are brown or hazel, I'd probably go for more burgandy or violet tone
hmmm.. i might actually.... it's cute... and girly...

brides in western wedding usually have light make - up and we - in the middle east - love to look our best... so I'd say go for it.... it's fun and cute... it's different from the other brides who have their eyeshadow dark.... I know some who did :)

    mabrook
no I would wear more natural make-up only enhansing your natural beauty!!
Your wedding day is your time to feel like a queen. i wouldn't wear it, but if it makes you feel fabulous and like a queen, then go for it!
I was going to say that it looks like a stripper's wedding makeup, but I was beat to it. I think makeup for a wedding should be minimal as possible...just what it takes to accent your best features so the real you comes out. Its one of the most special days and it should be about you and not the hoochiemama makeup that is ok for the club but not for the wedding.
very pretty, but not for a wedding.
I wouldn't because I like the more natural style, but if you like it, then go for it.

Good-luck, and have a fabulous wedding day! =]
    Yeah, it's cute!
    YEAS!!! ITS ******* SEXI
no.I would stick with nudes and nautrals. bring out the bes t in your face. that just looks too runwayish
no i wouldn't it looks very cheap almost stripper like
Noooo manal....that is soooo tacky...i mean those colors for a wedding....yakhi shou????Aboooww...the groom will run away
ok but look too heavy around the eyes. would be perfect if you lighten the make up around your eyes.
I don't think I would wear that color eye shadow on my wedding day. You want to look elegant and traditional, not like your going to a costume party. Besides, that may look good on her, but it may look awful on you. Stick to the basics! Good luck!

One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.

The sites I provide above have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page plus, you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. Estee Lauder Double Wear or Estee Lauder Full Coverage. You could actually get a sample for free, just tell them you would like a sample to try out. It will be plenty enough for your wedding day.
Try going to see a sales rep at Benefit, you'll find a counter in bg department stores. They know their stuff! Benefit make up is quite expensive, but it's amazing! plus if it's your wedding day you want t o look your best, so whats a couple extra quid? I would say to go for something natural, and not too over the top....no gothic eyeliner or anything. go for pretty....natural colours, mascara (Bad Gal is amazing) and lip stain, nt gloss. natural all the way!

    Congradulations by the way! :-)
check out some of these looks..

or you can set up some appts. with makeup counters in your dept. stores and they can experiment with you and see what you like.
if its a wedding in april...use springy colors...like light pinks and creamy colors...on your wedding day you dont want to OVER DO th emake up because thats not AS important...if you go to a salon in the area they may be able to try some colors on you to see what colors look best...you can probably even buy colors from them..applicate it yourself..or pay a fee to let them applicate it for you

I certainly wouldn't want someone to travel all that way just to do my makeup. Maybe you are in a different situation...I dunno. Wedding Day Hair & Makeup in Tuscany Italy?

We are having a destination wedding in Arezzo Italy in the tuscany region. I am having a very hard time locating someone that can come to the villa and do hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaid. Any suggestions?

I have completed many many google searches...Wedding Day Hair %26amp; Makeup in Tuscany Italy?
I would contact the location where you are having the wedding and see if they know of anyone.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.Wedding Day Hair %26amp; Makeup in Tuscany Italy?
That sounds beautiful! As another poster said, I would contact the venue and ask them. If they do weddings often, they might know or be able to direct you to someone who does. Or the florist/caterer might.

Otherwise you might have to just get a phone book and start calling.
I was told this by a hair stylist for my own wedding to keep my hair and makeup relatively the same as I would wear it everyday but slightly glammed up. He told me that far too often women will ';over do it'; for thier weddings to the point when they look in the mirror and don't even recognize themselves and don't feel like themselves either. My advice to you would be to go get a haircut you feel confident styling yourself. I have curly/wavy hair and I can style it to look beautiful but not over done. Do you know what I mean? Try googling photos of celebrities that have similar hair to yours that you could mimic thier style.

Same goes for makeup. You but more enhanced and fresh. Go to sephora and get a consultation with the makeup artists there. They can suggest the right brands for you.

I was in my friends wedding and they hired a makeup artist to do our faces and I honestly did not like what they did and could not see ';myself';. Same with my hair. It was a formal wedding so I got an updo and when I see the pictures I hated my hair and I chose the style! A destination wedding should be relaxed and beautiful so your style of makeup and hair should be as well. Hope I helped. Something simple and stunning, here is what I was trying to convey:
If you have anyone already there ask them if they could help or just call your location for hair salons. Lucky girl wedding in Italy how romantic.
How romantic, call a local hotel. good luck

    Makeup for wedding?

I am a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding. The dress is a lavender color and we will be wearing silver jewelry. I have medium brown hair, fair skin and blue-green eyes. What color eyeshadow, blush and lipstick should I wear?Makeup for wedding?
I would go to the web site for Bee Luscious Cosmetics and get their liquid powder mineral foundation, and primer a must the primer will add a long last to your makeup for the entire day and into the night for the reception. Then get the Liptox sheer in precious or the liquid luster in show girl , for over all glow use the mineral tides in flush of pink you'll be a total knock out ... then get shadows in hues of soft lavenders line the upper lid with VERY THIN black liquid liner and top off with HD mascara in carbon black ....Makeup for wedding?
Try wearing a very light pink or very light lavender eyeshadow. It'll look nice with your dress but still natural. Since your skin is fair, a lighter pink or peach shade of blush, and instead of lipstick, wear a pink lip gloss.

    Hope that helps!
whatever you do, dont match your eyeshadow to your dress. That's so old-fashioned and dated!!

Im being a bridesmaid next weekend. I havent given it much thought, but I'll probably wear brown eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil, brown eyeliner and mascara and pink lipstick. I have similar colouring to you! have fun.
    Go to www.colormebeautiful.com

or buy the book: Color Me Beautiful, looking your best.

Lavender color and silver are beautiful together and maybe silver shoes and handbag.

Sounds you maybe a Autumn if you a warm skin tone.

Or a Summer if you have cool skin tone.

Its best that you go into www.Colormebeautiful.com

They also have make up for your coloring.
my brother recently got married, and my mother wore lavender; she and I got our makeup done at M.A.C. you should just get yours done. It doesn't cost anything, and they will do a great job. It is recommended that you buy something, but you don't have to. If you do decide to do this take the dress so they can choose colors for you.

    Wedding day makeup....?

Hi! I'm wondering about wedding day makeup. I normally don't wear any makeup at all, so I don't want to cake it on for the wedding day. I'm not sure I want to have my makeup professionally done. I think it's a ton of money and I'm worried I won't even like it or I'll rub my eyes (like I typically do) and I'll ruin it. I was thinking just doing a little myself, just some kind of eye shadow and a light lip gloss. I really hate wearing mascara, cause I hate the feeling of curling my eyelashes, which I would need to do since I wear glasses. If I don't curl them, the mascara gets all over my lenses. My hair is reddish-blondish, and I have pale skin, but hoping to have a nice natural tan by August, so should have some color already. So would just the shadow and gloss be okay? What do you think? Thanks!Wedding day makeup....?
I think you can do it yourself, but you may have some trouble if you don't wear makeup much now. You'll need to know what products work for you and how to apply them.

Go to a makeup counter (like Clinique or Lancome) and let them know that you are getting married and you want to enhance your look with some products, but not look overdone. They can test out some products on you and show you how to apply them.. and you can buy the ones that you want. It is worth it to test out the products with your skin- for matching purposes and to make sure that it doesn't irritate your skin. Practice applying the makeup yourself a few times and take photographs so that you can see how it shows up in pictures. I think you'll need some foundation (even sheer foundation) to even out your skin tone (everyone can use a little help there), a bit of blush or bronzer, concealer in case of dark eye circles or blemishes, mascara and some lip color.Wedding day makeup....?
You definately need to have your makeup done! For picture purposes, you want to be what people call, ';an enhanced version of yourself';. You should not look so dolled up that you don't recognize yourself, but you also need to make your features pop for the camera. Go to a makeup counter, tell the lady you need an understated, clean look! Good luck!!!
    a little wil be ok
You should definitely practice, look at actresses or whatever online for makeup styles that you like/ inspiration pics.

For pictures, it would be good to have a little mascara on- it really does look good!- but it is NOT a requirement- it's YOUR wedding, so you should look and feel like YOU!

But try practicing a little- especially with a little mascara! If you put the mascara on and leave your glasses off for about a minute, it should dry and not get on your lenses (I never curl my lashes, even when I'm wearing my glasses) It might feel weird at first- like your lashes are stuck against your lenses? But your lashes will curl against your lenses and that weird feeling will go away :)

    Good luck!
I went to a MAC counter and had them do it a few weeks before, and she gave me tips so that I could do it on my wedding day. I also went to a Mary Kay lady who gave me helpful tips, as well. Makeup is super important, because if you don't know what you are doing, you could look awful in your pictures! Also, you need to put on makeup after you get your hair done, because hairspray over the makeup will look shiny and you face will have reflections in the pictures. I really like MAC concealer and they also have a super long wearing lipstick, so you don't have to reapply for pictures throughout the day. Wedding makeup is tricky, because you need enough definition for your lips and eyes to stand out in pictures, but you want to look nice close-up, too. I would seek professional tips!

    Wedding day makeup question.

I am just full of questions tonight! I really want to do my own makeup for my wedding, I cannot stand the thought of someone else doing it. With that said, my sister and I have been debating on what colors, if any, I should wear for eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, etc. It is a beach wedding in Florida on November 1st so I won't be wearing super formal makeup and since it is Florida and will be in the 80's, I don't have to abide by the seasons for choosing colors. I want to not match exactly my theme, but coordinate. My girls are wearing aqua dresses and I am wearing white. We all will have silver jewelry and be carrying bouquets of white oriental lilies and bright pink stargazer lilies. Here is a picture of my dress if that helps: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?鈥?/a> Thanks for your advice! Wedding day makeup question.
i would say test out pink or aqua.

on the inside, nearest to your nose, maybe start with white, and then fade over to pink or fade over to aqua.

    white-light pink-pink-darker pink

on your lower water line just use a tiny bit of black or brown eye liner.

    nothing too thick.

also, just use an eyelash curler.

if you really want, use a waterproof mascara.

for blush, i would say use a highlight color.

just something shimmery, not with any color.

for lipstick i would go with a coral.

    maybe just a tinted gloss.

    congratulations on your wedding :)

    -----

i do agree with jess though, shades of brown are always nice.Wedding day makeup question.
just a light foundation and a little powder so your skin isn't shiny in photos! a light lip-gloss and a little waterproof mascara to make your eyes pop! remember you want to look like a bride not a painted lady! lol

its gonna be hot and you are gonna be emotional - you don't need makeup running down your face.

tuck your lip-gloss into the side of your bouquet or have your m.o.h. hold on to it so you can do a fast touchup whenever needed!

    have a wonderful wedding!

p.s. your dress is beautiful .............
Go with what is best with your skin tone and eyes. Test out different ones before the big day. Don't wear mascara or eye liner. In fact, the less makeup, the better. You don't want to look a mess after crying and you don't want makeup on your dress.
I think you should go light on the eyeshadow and lips! Maybe something like what the model has on her eyes, and by the way the dress is beautiful! Check out these sites for some ideas! :)
I did my own makeup on my wedding day because I wanted to look natural. When you get it done professionally they use so much makeup and you look like a clown. Don't worry about what your sister thinks. You are the bride so you wear whatever makeup you want. I have the same skin tone as you. I just used blush, a medium pink lipstick, and mascara. You should look like you always do. I don't wear a lot of makeup so I didn't want to wear a lot on my wedding day. Your dress is amazing. Congrats and enjoy your special day.
Go natural to bring out your eyes. Try different colors to bring out your eyes. Maybe greens, or browns. Since your dress is strapless, do wear your hair UP and wear sunscreen on your face and your arms and body where it shows. You can get mascara that doesn't run, and that alone will brighten up your eyes. Wear a color lipstick that compliments your face. You can keep a tissue in the top of your dress between your breasts for a quick wipe of a tear (of happiness). Since you will be outside, and the sun bright, you can go a bit heavier on the blush and shadow. Experiment, and take pictures outside. Don't forget the sand also reflects the sunlight. You don't want your face to look like it doesn't have anything on it in your pictures. Get the lipstick that refreshes itself, and keep a tube handy to refresh your lips. Use a foundation that is liquid that turns into powder, and that will help keep the shine off your face. Use a translucent powder to keep the shine down, and keep that handy too for pictures. You don't want your face to look too shiny. The flash will reflect off it and won't look too good in your pictures.

Remember, you're wearing a strapless dress, so don't get a funny tan right before your wedding. Either cover up or wear a tube top out in the sun. And best wishes on your wedding!
Although Florida is hot, (November isn't too bad-less humid and you might get a breeze on the beach) wearing makeup is essential! Your dress is very formal- I love Maggies! and makeup will finish the polished look you are going for. Many people opt to have a professional to do their makeup on the day because it's much like ';stage makeup'; it has to complement your ';costume';, show up and look flattering in photographs and last a long time. If you do chose to do it yourself, make sure you are using good products. Victoria Secret's makeup line has alot of great coordinating neutrals. Also you may want to purchase your makeup from a department store where the beauty consultant can give you pointers and sell you the best products for the job. Most do free applications so you can try out your wedding make beforehand and learn to recreate the look on the day of.

    Best of luck!
I love the dress! Personally, I think neutral tones are the best- that way you won't regret wearing an eyeshadow colour that is out of fashion in a year or 2. Brown-beige tones suit most people. Keep the lips looking natural too but go a shade or too darker than your natural colour so they look good in the photos.

As for the other stuff- go for long-lasting make up so that it won't rub off throughout the day. Primer and powder are good to wear with foundation so it stays on longer. Waterproof mascara if you're going to cry (or get your eye lashes tinted beforehand by a beautician).

Since you're having an outdoor ceremony, it would be a good idea to wear sunscreen so that you don't turn out like a lobster in the photos (this happened to a friend of mine!).

Another tip is to do a trial run your makeup and take a few photos- with and without flash. That way you can see what it turns out like and see if you need to add more or less makeup- or if that shade of eyeshadow doesn't suit.

    Wedding Day Makeup (PICS!)?

My wedding is coming up soon, and I can't afford a makeup artist. My fiance is being deployed to Iraq in July, so we moved up the wedding plans. We had to cut a lot of corners. So I hope some of you guys on here can help me out a bit!

Here are 3 pictures. The first 2 are of me in my wedding dress and wedding veil. (FYI, I am a dancer, so in the first 2 I am wearing my stage makeup, I don't wear makeup like a hooker in reality). The 3rd picture is of me without makeup and with wet hair.

    http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll21/鈥?/a>

    http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll21/鈥?/a>

    http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll21/鈥?/a>

Please give me some DETAILED advice on how to do my makeup for my big day! I want to look like a beautiful princess, but I don't know where to begin. I have blond hair and blue eyes if you can't tell from the pictures. And I'm very pale. Tips please???Wedding Day Makeup (PICS!)?
    I'd go with:

    Foundation and powder (eyelids, too!)

A pinkish or peachy* nude color on the lid and a light/medium brown in the crease, and *maybe* a very slightly shimmery vanilla color under the brow.

Don't bother with blush, you don't need it.

And a light, pinkish or peachy* nude lipstick with a slightly shimmery gloss over the top.

*I can't tell your skin tone from the photos, so pick pinkish (cool) or peachy (warm) tones of the nudes, whichever suits you better. Or find totally neutral shades if you're not sure which tone to go with.

Also, a lot of department stores like Dillard's and Macy's offer free consultations at their make-up counters, so check them out. Be sure to let them know it's for your wedding makeup and that you want to find a simple, un-made-up look for the day so they don't go overboard.Wedding Day Makeup (PICS!)?
I'm a total clutz with applying makeup so I'm probably going to an artist to get my makeup done. Maybe that mineral makeup will work OK for me, I have to try that one. I just can't do foundation well.

Honestly, you look beautiful without makeup on. But being photographed, I would suggest that nobody goes without foundation. So, I'd go very simple. Natural colors, nothing too flashy.
You have such a pretty face. I would go for some natural soft makeup such as these photos:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/fern/194438鈥?/a>

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/danicapurso鈥?/a>

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/austintexas鈥?/a>

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/poliniphoto鈥?/a>

    Just a few suggestions.
The 3 Photo really shows you beauty!

I would say do the make up yourself because you wouldnt need to do much! you complextion is nice i would say masscra, eye liner. The eye shadow depends on the theme or dress!! The lips you could put Pink lip gloss or just plain Lip Gloss chose 1. A lil Blusher %26amp; Your ready to go!!
I'm a guy, so I don't really have any detailed advice. From your third picture, you are naturally pretty, so I would suggest a more natural look without a lot of makeup.
I would go with very little make up as you have naturally gorgeous skin and features. Perhaps a little blush, mascara and pale lip gloss but nothing overboard.

    Good luck and congrats!
You're a pretty girl, and likely can do a fair job with makeup on your own. But your wedding is a special circumstance - very, very special. You want it to be as good as possible - so ask around and find out where the best beautician and hair stylist are in your community, and pay them do your face and hair...when you make your appointment, tell them about your financial circumstances. Most such folks will give you a hand at quite a reasonable price - especially if they know your guy is being deployed soon!

If they're reluctant to help out, get someone to put a story in your local newspaper - it just might be that some of your neighbors would be willing to do something special for one of our heroes and his blushing bride! If you two were neighbors of mine and I knew of your financial situation, I'd chip in a twenty...
The last picture without makeup is so nice.

You can use a small amount of mascara, a peach or pink eye shadow at the most and a small amount of blush.

    Keep it simple. PLEASE!

What are you wedding colors? You could get 3 or 4 silk roses of a pastel color to match and fasten them together to slip under the top part of your veil. This will bring more color to your face. Stay away from colors like blue, yellow or orange and go with more of the reds, pinks or even purples. This will bring out the natural pink under your skin even if you do have pale skin.
I reckon you looked best with no make up.

Even if you feel confident doing your own make up why not pamper yourself %26amp; have someone else do it for you.

Most make up artist will do a trial run a few weeks before the day so you are completely happy with the look, you can choose to go with the natural make up look or add some colour etc but most artist will work off your whole look so how you are having your hair, what colour theme wedding etc

    Good luck
Go for something very plain. I dont like the make up in the first two - it is just too much for your face and complexion. I think you need a good mascara to open up your eyes and maybe use false eyelashes to give you fuller ones. Then a bit of eyeliner (thin) and a subtle eyeshadow. Maybe go for smoky eyes, that always looks good and can look very sexy on a bride :) for the rest of your face, if you want a bit of colour, use a bronzer for a glow and then a slick of lip gloss to finish it off. you dont need a lot of make up, because it will look ridiculous. go quite plain :)
I'm going to be perfectly honest, even though it's probably not what you want to hear.

Based on your third picture, I think you're VERY pretty without any makeup on.

Here's what I'd do: Some clear gloss on your lips to make them shiny, maybe some mascara. Possibly a tiny bit of blue eyeshadow if you're set on it, since your eyes are blue, but a pale blue, nothing too drastic. Obviously foundation would work if you want to cover up any blemishes.

Well, that's my honest opinion, take it or leave it :)
wow..you look like a porcelain doll in your second photo-so pretty!!

honestly the makeup in your photos doesn't look overdone or bad at all.. for your wedding you want to have enough on that it will show up in photos.

i got my professionaly done because i'm not the best at doing makeup and i wanted to make sure it lasted the whole day (which it did!)

i also have blue eyes and blondish-brown hair.. for my eyeshadow the makeupartist did brown (to bring out my blue eyes)
My dear...you are such a beautiful girl and your wedding gown is gorgeous. What I would do is buy porcelain ivory color sheer foundation by Revlon, Cover girl or any brand. Go to Ulta.com and look at this site. Then as far as eye makeup...make it very suptle. Pencil in eyebrows with a soft beigy /blond brown... I would use a beigy color for shadow/and then eyeliner should be with a soft brown very soft pencil..In your photo, your eye makeup is too dark..it makes ;your eyes look too small...You want to open up your eye. For bottom lid..go very lightly and smudge softly. If it does not look good, then don't put it on lower lid. Then as far as mascara a Chocolate brown mascara for you. Then for blush, purchase a peachy/pink blush..brush upward with a kabuki brush upward..then clean off lightly with tissue...as far as lipstick, there is a lipstick in Ulta.com that stays on for 12 hours so check it out...also in a pinky/peach color, then go over with clear gloss. Practice your makeup weeks before your wedding. Also you can go to a department store and ask a cosmetitian of a particular brand of makeup to make you up...you instructing her that you want a natural, suptle look...not brassy/cheap or too much color....Good Luck
I actually thought you were a mannequin in the first picture you are that perfect!

Like everyone else is saying, keep it simple, you have lovely skin, add a bit of pink blusher to the apples of your cheeks a dab of lip gloss and some mascara..thats all you need and you will look like a beautiful princess.

Just think in ten / twenty years time when your look back over your wedding photos, you dont want to cringe at your heavily made up face!

    Best of luck hun x

    Wedding day makeup help!?

I am freaking out a bit. I have my wedding coming in 2 weeks and I have no clue what make up to use. I HAVE to wear make up to cover a few acne scars and I am sure I will have stress breakout. But my skin gets super oily! I don't want to be able to see the photographer on my cheeks in my wedding pictures. I am so afriad I will be shining brighter than the north star. Can anyone please tell me what I can use to keep the oil down if only for this one day.

By the way all the make up that I already use is completely oil free, and I do use a alcohol based toner to reduce oil. PLEASE I want to look half decent just this one day!Wedding day makeup help!?
Definitely keep blotting papers or something like Clean %26amp; Clear Oil Absorbing papers handy. These will help absorb oil without disturbing your makeup.

I have combination/oily skin, and I recently started using Clinique Pore Minimizer on my t-zone (which is where I usually get suuuuuper oily) as a primer before I put on my regular makeup and it works REALLY well. You only need a little bit, which is why it comes in such a tiny bottle, and it works all day long. It's $19 at Sephora, or I'm sure you can find it at any Clinique counter.

As far as makeup, you can't go wrong with coastalscents.com's 28 neutral eyeshadow palette. There are TONS of super high pigmented colors (and some really easy gorgeous tutorials on youtube that use it) and a lot of the reviewers say that they use it all the time for bridal work.

Here's a link to the palette itself:

    http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/鈥?/a>

and here's a link to one of my favorite youtube tutorials:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF7ckfxIn鈥?/a>

While you're at coastal scents, if you're looking for ways to absorb oil, I strongly reccomend the Silica Powder Spheres. It's the same exact thing as Make Up Forever HD Microfinishing powder, which runs for $30 for a .35 ounces. I think the kabuki brush they sell with the HD powder is another $30.

At coastal scents, you can get one ounce of their powder for FOUR BUCKS. You'll have to buy a sifter jar (85 cents) and i also recommend the synthetic buffer brush ($15) to apply it but even still... You'll use this stuff every day, and it'll last you a VERY long time. You buff it on over your makeup, and it will help set everything while it absorbs oils from your skin. I was a little bit skeptical at first, but I swear by this stuff now. I came home from work on my lunch break the first day, thinking that I'd have to touch it up, but no. It worked all day long. With this stuff and the Clinique stuff, I don't think I had to blot at all. And I usually have to blot at least twice a day.

Here's a link to the powder:

    http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/鈥?/a>

    a link to the brush:

    http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/鈥?/a>

If you do decide to order from coastal scents, pay the extra money and get the fastest shipping you can afford. It's so worth it. Plus you'll have a little bit of extra time to play with your makeup before your big day! I know you'll be a gorgeous bride. :)

Good luck, and Congratulations!Wedding day makeup help!?
Hi! Congratulations on your wedding, obviously someone thinks your more than half decent, because your getting married!! Okay, so I recommend, the following routine:

http://www.strawberrynet.com/productDeta鈥?/a> use these pads for reducing oil, and then sweep light gold eyeshadow across your lids. Then, cover your acne scars with cover up (yellow based, NOT pink) and then finish it up with pressed powder. Then, coat your eyelashes in brown mascara twice, letting it dry between coats. use a shimmery pink lip gloss...and have a great time!
    Congrats On your Big Day!!!!

    Dinair Airbrush Makeup!!!! Why?

For one They have a Water-proof Foundation Yes Foundation That is water proof %26amp; smudge Free!!! I Use it alot because it covers all my blemishes %26amp; dries Matte While still looking natural Plus it wont rub off on any clothes!!! You can look so natural Or dramatic but either way that Makeup is staying put oily skin %26amp; all! Good Luck I would give more suggestions but This brand is the only one I know that has Water proof foundation!!!

    www.airbrushmakeup.com
use the concealer and get an oil free astringent to stop pre-breakouts

(I'd advise Loreals or Oxy (worked for me)

    http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I鈥?/a>

makeup wise use a light pink or peach gloss

light on the mascara but still use some

and a lighter tone of the color that makes ur eyes pop for shadow and liner (but the liners unnecessary)
use conceler and foundation. try using a powder.
use the face wipes that get rid of oil which you can get from walmart, and try not to touch your face at all! Oh, and definately use something more than just mascara, as these other people are saying. It's your WEDDING DAY!!

i've seen disastrous make up outcomes and the brides end up looking ugly..

like foundation too light or too dark

    eye concealor too light

    too much blush etc etc

HELPPPWedding day makeup? i need helpppp?
I was 25 when I got married.. you are 21... I guess I looked ok and I did my own make up...If you go to have photos taken by a professional at the day of the wedding.. they will plaster your cheeks in make up.. in Rouge.. thats' what happened to me on our wedding photos, because we went to the photo studio and had a lot of lighting effects.. all those headlights swallow up the make up, which is also why when you ever see a news castor. (someone who presents the news life on TV...I knew a lady by sight who did the news and I was 16 at the time and I saw her in her car.. and she looked horrible it was a lot of make up.. but of course when she gets to the studio.. the headlights shine that bright, so that her make up didn't look exaggerated in reality on TV but it was an awful sight to see her in person... for the camera... all the models and everyone in front of professional photographer has tons of make up on.. but for your wedding day.. don't look like a clown.. Go for the natural look....Enhance your eyes, use a more earthy colour for your lips...a good lipstick which lasts.. good make up that lasts for hours..and is waterproof.. may be a good idea..the quality of the make up.. I know that you look young, don't use dramatic make up... be yourself.. Just go to a cosmetics shop... ask a professional.. what skin tone is best for you to use as make up .. and as creme powder...don't go too dark.. I also was not sure what is best for me and I asked a woman who works in a cosmetics shop.. which make up she recommends for my skin tone.. and she did.. and it looked ok,

Use quality make up... and you won't get infections.. .spend some money on the make up... for the special day.. Make up can be used again and again.. It will come in useful after the wedding..

These make up tips for your special day, sound sensible to me... to enhance your good looks but you won't look like a painted clown..you will look a natural beauty..

Good Luck on your beautiful day!
You can certainly do your own makeup, it's not that uncommon. Try doing it yourself beforehand though. I know plenty of people who do their own wedding makeup. The key is to try out your looks far in advance before the big day. Get some makeup ideas, apply them on yourself and take pictures in a setting where your wedding will take place (if it's outdoors, take pics outdoors, if it's dim-light, take it in that type of setting, etc.) and see how they come out.
I would get your makeup done at a place because it's your special day, you should get pampered.

If you're worried about germs, ask them to get new brushes, tips, points etc, if you have to pay extra you should..it's worth it.

I'm not getting married but for my prom i got my makeup done because you want your eyes to pop in pictures and really only makeup artists know how to do that the right way.

Try makeup at a salon like you do with your hair. Try a lot of different colors and techniques until you find the one that fits you best. After the sampling sessions, if you don't like it then do it yourself. At least you tried!
Keep your make up light. You will have lots of photographs taken on this day. you don't want you eyes to be smoothed in dark or bold make up. Get a good foundation and concealer. (try 'makeup forever HD foundation') Make sure your foundation s good enough to last all day. I personally suggest light pale pink eyeshadow and black lashes.

Most make-up Artists are clean with their tools and brushes. Yellow page some people, Get some reviews on people.

Have fun on your wedding day.
I totally understand I had that same issue. So I bought new palates of makeup and choose 3 different looks that I modeled for 3 people I was close to. We all got to vote. But after i tryd the looks I new immediatley what i wanted. Go for light powder foundation so u can do touch ups that wont be messy and soft glimering shadows and u cant go wrong. congrats!
I did my own make up too! Like you, I hate the 'fake' look given by most makeup artists. I've seen other brides and 100% of the time they end up looking too 'white'. And most of the time the make up is too 'perfect' that the bride end up looking like a totally different person--not something i'll like. The makeup artists always claim that they have to pile up on the powder so that 'it will look nice on photos'. Rubbish! My friends all look like they had a white mask on!

That said, if you want to do your own, I hope you are very familiar with doing your own makeup. If not, start practising now! guess you still have time. look up You tube for make up tips. I find it very useful.

Start exploring now, find out what works for you. take some photos to find out how you'll look, and adjust accordingly if necessary.

Remember to use a good primer -- it makes all the difference! I recommend MAC prep+prime.

For day wedding, play up your eyes, and lips nude / light pink. This is a very flattering look.
