Not hiring a professional for this so any tips from experience would be appreciated ;)Any tips for achieving a great makeup look for wedding day?
Check youtube for tutorials. Search for ';bridal makeup';... I know MakeupByTiffanyD has a really nice bridal look. It's very neutral, but plays up the girl's natural assets (Eyes, skin, etc).
Try to keep your makeup pretty neutral. I know a lot of makeup artists are in love with the Coastal Scents 28 neutral palette for bridal makeup. There are a lot of really gorgeous tutorials using the neutral palette on youtube, too.

Buy the makeup you think you'll need and practice the look a couple times beforehand. You don't want to attempt a look for the first time on your wedding day. You'll be a bundle of nerves, and it's just one more thing you'll have to deal with.
Or, if you're willing to shell out a little bit of money, go to MAC and get a makeover. Tell them that you want a bridal look, and ask them for a face chart when they're all through. They'll draw exactly what they did on a picture of a face, and write down exactly what colors they used. If you go to a MAC counter on a weekday (Mon-Thursday) I believe makeovers are free (This may vary from counter to counter-- call first to ask), but if you go on a weekend, there is a mandatory minimum purchase of $50, to compensate for their time. Just make sure you ask for a face chart. Even if you decide not to buy all of the MAC makeup they used, you can take the chart to a drugstore and look for similar colors that happen to be a little bit more in your price range.
Either way, keep it neutral, practice (the more the better!), and if you decide to go to MAC, ask them for a face chart. (I've never been offered a face chart- I've always had to ask.)
Good luck hon! And congratulations!Any tips for achieving a great makeup look for wedding day?
Do what you would normally do for your everyday makeup, only kick it up a notch and really take your time with it so that it looks polished. Most women opt for a pretty natural look walking down the aisle, if only so that you won't look dated in photos, and so that you won't have to touch it up as much over the course of the day or evening. When I did my wedding makeup, I used the same foundation and powder that I always use. I'm rather fair-complected, so I went with a soft brown on my lids and a warm berry on my lips. You'll likely want a waterproof mascara. Try a variety of brands now, so that by the time the wedding rolls around, you'll have found a brand and type that you're comfortable using and that gives good results.
dont be in a rush and maybe have a mom or older sister put it on or have a friend do it that you trust put make up on very steady and dont apply alot of it on at once you will look really wierd no offense good luck hope it helped
