Wedding make-up can be done without looking ';done.'; Just because wedding make-up requires a heavier hand (thank to professional photography because your features get washed out) doesn't mean that you end up not looking like yourself.
I suggest you walk into a department store or someplace like Sephora and go to the make-up counter and have them give you a make-over/lesson. If you see someone whose make-up you like, go to that person.
* You'll need to even out skin tone with some foundation or tinted moisturizer depending on your skin.
* Concealer to cover up any spots if necessary and maybe to lighten dark circles.
* Blush to add contour because the photography will wash you out.
* Eye make-up. Eyeshadow, liner and mascara.
* Lipstick - long-wearing is great for the big day. You apply once and just apply gloss when necessary throughout the day.
* When choosing colors, choose colors that compliment you best and are natural. There is no need to experiment with bright, trendy colors on your wedding day.
If you choose to do your make-up yourself, you can head over to the MAC counter. They are incredibly helpful and have great products for your wedding day. Their make-up lasts all day and with the proper application you will look great without being overly done. What makeup should i wear for my wedding?
I think the best make-up for a wedding is the kind that looks natural.
-Soft nude/peach lip color
-Powder foundation (matte or liquid may smear)
-Soft pink blush along your cheekbone
-An eyeshadow a few shades darker than your skin tone (warm brown possibly?) along the crease of your eyes and then smudged into the outer corners. (It naturally adds depth to your eyes)
-Nice layer of mascara (preferably your hair color) and false eyelashes if you've tried them before and you like the way they turned out
-Stay away from bright/colored/sparkly/shiny things that will take away from you and your dress
-For inspiration, google some pictures of Angelina Jolie and search Youtube for ';How to's'; on make-up application
Hope I helped! Good luck!
I agree with not going overboard but you definately need some makeup so you do not look washed out in your pictures. So just the basics, a good foundation or at least tinted moisterizer to reduce any blotchy spots, a neutral color eyeshadow, lots of mascara, blush and some lip gloss/color would be perfect!
Just some advice... don't go overboard with make up if you normally don't wear any. You don't want to look 100% different for your big day... My fiance said he would be really bummed if I walked down the aisle and had red lips or just too much eye stuff on. He loves the natural look, with natural tones.
So don't go for any bold color, especially if you normally don't wear it.
Best of luck!
P.S. Sheer cover mineral make up is really nice!
go get your makeup professionally done. you only get married once god willing! you can go to any dept store makekup counter and get it done in an hour or less and you just have to buy 1 item when they're done.
try the bare minerals power makeup it doesn't have to be that brad but try a loose powder instead of foundation
Answer 1 says all! :)
