I am in a wedding where the gown I will be wearing is an apple deep fall red. What makeup should I wear to look good for the photography pictures that will be taken. I am fair skinned with light to meduim eyes and reddish hair?I need advise on what makeup to wear for a wedding?
Having attended many weddings, I have one sure piece of advice. Don't overdo the makeup. Go for a softer, natural look.I need advise on what makeup to wear for a wedding?
dark brown for the eyes, a puny pink for the lips ( no red!!! ) and a natural brown for the cheeks, then to finish it off curl your eye lashes, and put on black mascara and black eye liner!
hope that helps!
If you have some time before the wedding. try going to a nearby mall and ask one of the makeup ladies to help you pick out colors that will enhance your features. Almost always they will be more the happy to help you. DON'T fall into the trap of buying their products though...way too much money. Pay attention to the colors they use and you CAN duplicate this look yourself.
Natural is best. Don't go to heavy or you will look to ';made up';
CONGRADULATIONS
You want simple and understated. Nothing too dramatic or distracting. Think job interview meets first date.
some great tips on weddings and makeup that will help you on this site
charcoalish 4 the eyes NO RED LIPS...natural besides the charcoal
white and a light red 4 your eyeshadow(half andhalf, but mix in the middle for an even flow,) and black eye liner, a light pink blush and clear lipstick to make your lips shine
goodluck :0)
A nice tan brown shadow.(not too dark)
If you have a Macy's near by, MAC Cosmetics will do your make up and all you have to do is purchase
$60 in products. Bobbi Brown is also a great makeup line and more natural, MAC is more dramatic-- better for evening. But if you're doing it yourself, careful with the foundation and don't forget the blush or you'll look washed out in the pictures. Hope this helps.
use bare minerals
i like purple makeup you pick it out
go to a mall and tell them your getting married and they will do your makeup for you. and tell them not to paint your face like a clown.
since the dress you are wearing is apple deep fall red i'm assuming its a fall or winter wedding.... wearing charcol or something to dark or to red would look takcy........ i'd say maybe try your browns and golds......... for eyeshadows and brown mascara and eyeline......and then your usuallys for your face and keep your lips neutral.........
choose nutrual tones so that you look more natural with blemishes, choose long wering makeup as well, you will look flawless
Due to being a wedding and your complexion i'd suggest keeping it minimal perhaps a silver/grey or gold eyeshadow. Failing that a nice brown always looks good on a red head. Keep your lips in a nice nude/pale pink lip gloss. Make sure you invest in a good staying foundation it will cost more but worth its weight in gold as you need something thats not going to fade off before you get pictures taken.
You'll want to go for a natural look since your dress is so bright. Go with bronze, beige, and cream colored eye shadows/liner/massacra. For your lips go with a natural beige color.
I would keep your make-up somewhat simple. Keep your blush light, and pic a sheer gloss that will make your lips look full. Play up your eyes. Use an eye shadow that looks fabulous on you and make them a bit more dramatic that your day to day eye look.
If you're nervous go to a Sephoria (If you have one around) or a make up counter and a large dept store and ask for them to try a few looks on you. Remember you should practice your new look a few times before the pics so you have it down pat.
Good luck! I hope you look stunning.
