I read someplace that one should avoid shiny makeup for the wedding day. What about shiny blush? When my wedding makeup consultant did my practice application, she did great on the cheeks, but the makeup was sparkly. Does this really matter? No shiny makeup for wedding day pics?
I've retouched a lot of photographs. We called wedding pictures the ';Shiny Happy People'; pictures. Glittery is even worse because sometimes the glitter reflects back blue. For the sake of your pictures avoid shiny makeup, glass back drops and raising your arms over your head in a strapless dress. No shiny makeup for wedding day pics?
try bare minerals mineral veil to keep the shine down

take your wedding make-up consultant to the nearest nordstrom, sephora, or ulta store, and check out bare minerals by bare escentuals. the ';original'; starter kit (only at ulta) is 60.00, and includes everything you will need. the foundation gives you an even complexion, the mineral veil a flawless, matte finish. congratulations !
it probably meant to just not have shine on your face, like oils... just use powder. keep powder near you throughout the day and before pictures to powder your face. also, use the clean and clear oil absorbing sheets.
goodluck, and congratulations!!:)
You should ask her if there is another product she can use, or a translucent powder to make it more matte. Shiny may look ok normally, but most, if not all of your photographs will be made using a flash, which will highlight any shine or sparkle, making you look potentially oily or sweaty.
It might. In your pics you might not look like yourself.
i dont think its much because of the makeup its the photographer ur hiring!!!
