I went to the local mall and had a ';makeover'; to pick out my wedding day makeup. I want to duplicte that look.

I am doing my makeup on my wedding day my self. I want to duplicate the look the makeup artist at the mall did for me but it was a little more drastic than what i wanted. How do i duplicate and tone it down? Should i go a second time and have it done again?I went to the local mall and had a ';makeover'; to pick out my wedding day makeup. I want to duplicte that look.
Definitely get it redone, tell them you want something a little more natural. Make a note of the colors they use. Then have a friend/family member take a few photos of the look from a couple of angles (even close up on the eyes).

The practice-practice until you can recreate the look consistently. You may even find a look you prefer. Good luck and Congrats on your wedding!I went to the local mall and had a ';makeover'; to pick out my wedding day makeup. I want to duplicte that look.
First off...make sure they gave you the brand names and colors that they used the first time. Then you can either go again and ask them to tone it down and pay attention to what they do...OR since it's your wedding day...simply spring for your makeup to be done professionally. It's not too much more expensive than buying the makeup and doing it yourself...PLUS it'll keep you from messing it up (because you WILL be nervous and all that - I didn't quit shaking until 30 minutes after my reception started). And it'll give you a little more pampering on your special day.

Congrats!
yes. get it done again %26amp; say that you want it really light and natural. if it doesn't work than do it yourself. because most mall make-up artists make you look like a clown unless given any instruction
first you need to figure out what color your dress is and as well as the jewelry your wearing will be.. then it depends if you wear make up every day or not.. if you do then u want some thing dramatic so u can look defferent if not u want something more natural with cool colors.. tell a makeup artist what u want and maybe take a pic of something your going for.. hope it works out
If it was free, then yes it would be easier to just go and have it done again, and ask them to show you how to make it more subtle.

But the alternative would be to just apply a little less. If they used eyeshadow, put less on the brush, and use lighter colours. The same with lipstick and eyeliner - just apply a little less or a more subtle shade.
