What is the best makeup to use for a wedding?

I am doing the makeup for my cousin's wedding. What type of foundation do I use to avoid the ';white'; out look I sometimes see in photos? Also, her colors are ';claret'; (like burgendy) and black. Any suggestions on eyeshadow colors?

Thanks so much! What is the best makeup to use for a wedding?
I love natural toned face lip and eye makeup, dark brown liner, and black mascara. It Really highlights the natural beauty of a person and its not overwhelming. To avoid the white out look use a little bit of bronzer on the ';T-zone'; and cheeks. Good Luck!!!!What is the best makeup to use for a wedding?
it depends, everyone has a different preferances. I would suggest for you to bring over celebrity magazines such as PEOPLE, INstyle, Redbook, Star, US Weekly and let her flip through it and see which looks she likes. Try atleast 4-5 different looks before you decide which one is going to be final. Make sure you practice days ahead of the wedding and atleast 3-4 times as possible, that way you get more used to the routine and can develope shortcuts to speed up the routine. This also helps because you can experiment through trial and error just incase certain make ups irritate her face (which is a big thing to avoid) and try jotting down notes to see which eye shadows go in order, etc.

I would suggest to keep the make up subtle and light. You want the look to be fresh, not dramatic look with dark shadows. Try to also go over the lip with chaptick first and then color the whole lip with a lip pencil. You want to go over her lips with a lip pencil first because the formula is more dense and do lasts longer than regular lip stick alone and gloss. Remember that she's going to be taking photots, munching here and there, and greet guests for long hours, so she won't have alof of time to retouch up her gloss for every 30 minutes. After going over her lip with the pencil and filling it in entirely, go over it with a lipstick again (the colors should be similiar). The eye shadow color has to be consistent with the lip (If you use grey shadows, use lighter pink lips. Darker shadows, goes with darker lips, etc)

Make sure to use make up primers before the foundation to fill in lines. A few days before her wedding day, ask her to avoid consuming in dairy products such as milk, ice cream, etc because it tends to make the body and face a bit puffier. Sleep early so that her skin can be radiant and glowy. Anyways good luck. Practice, practice, practice! Nothing should go wrong on her big day if you practice before hand :)
All I have heard is to not use face makeup with SPF in it or mineral makeup. I am not sure why, but I have heard from multiple sources that these two ingredients are bad for photos. I am doing my own makeup for my wedding. I am going to MAC to get some help. I also found on Youtube there are videos on how to do wedding makeup. Very informative!
Bear in mind these are dark colors so skin tone will be lighter than normal. Most of the pictures are due to incorrect lighting and not a make-up problem. Go with natural tones and a good photographer. Shots from table cameras from a reception will almost always be uncomplimentary, but a good photographer is well worth the price.
Head straight to the Bobbi Brown counter and have them suggest some looks. The line is very warm - I wear it every day and my wedding makeup - ESPECIALLY in pictures - was outstanding.
