First- congrats on your wedding!

*For foundation I reccomend oil-free TLeClerc foundation. It is absolutely flawless is pictures!! And looks sooo natural in person.

(and you want to use oil-free because it will be longer lasting and reduce shine)

*MAC has great long lasting eyeliners

*Mascara for sure, for sure, for sure, you want to use LANCOME!!! It is absolutely amazing!!

*Lipstick- MAC annd Dior have some of the greatest lipglosses, and lipsticks.

**Some of the products might be a little expensive but it is totally worth it to splurge on those products for the big day.

**Another great product that I love and provides a little extra cover is MAC studio fix. It's a powder foundation but I use it over my TLeClerc foundation for extra cover and a super great finish!!!

****Whatever you do (as I am sure you already know) make sure if you are doing your own makeup or hiring a makeup artist do a trial so you can see how you want your makeup done. That way you can also make adjustments accordingly.

Good luck %26amp; have a great wedding!!!
Wear as little make-up as possible. Make sure that the mascara is water proof. Go with an oil free foundation. Keep it light so that it doesn't get on your dress and hey if it smears its your day. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats...

Brides wants a very clean and natural look. There are many ways to achieve such a look. The best makeover starts with the correct foundation for your skin type and color. The first thing to do is to know your skin type. Do you have to apply powder throughout the day to control shine? Are you prone to breakouts? If so, then you most likely have oily skin and don't want a foundation that compounds the problem. You're best bet would be to choose a matte foundation, which is water based and does not add unwanted oil to your skin. If your everyday makeup tends to look blotchy and you feel as though your skin ';drinks'; moisturizer, then you most likely have dry skin. If this is the case, then your skin will benefit from the added oils that are found in a fluid foundation.

The best way to test the color of the foundation is to apply a small amount close to your jaw line. The goal is to find the closest match to your neck, which will give you an even look. You want your makeup to blend in nicely with your natural skin tone. Once you have applied the foundation it is always best to check the color in the sunlight (other lighting, such as fluorescent, will effect the color). If you cannot see the foundation, then you have a good match!

Regardless of the type or color of the foundation, the single most important thing for your wedding day makeup is POWDER!!! Ask any photographer and they will also agree that this is a very important step. The most commonly asked question that I get is ';will my makeup last throughout the day?'; The answer is yes, if you use powder. The powder, when pressed into the skin, will help to ';set'; your makeup giving you that long lasting effect that all brides want. Also, the last thing you want to see in your pictures is shine. In order to avoid shine you may need to powder several times throughout the day. My suggestion to brides is to have your maid of honor keep your powder handy and to let you know when you need a touch up.

Most importantly be good to yourself on your wedding day, try to relax and enjoy your day.

%26gt; TIPS

Prior to the Wedding:

*Remember to drink lots of water at least a month prior to the big day. This is the single most important thing you can do for yourself. It will keep you glowing from the inside out, not to mention what it will to for your hair, skin and nails. It will also help to flush your system out and combat any last minute blemishes.

*You may want to see a facialist months prior to the event and come up with a game plan for top-notch skin.

*Try to moisturize and exfoliate on a regular basis, especially during the dry winter months. Foundation and powder do not look great on dry flaky skin.

*Take care of your lips and get in the habit of applying a lip balm every night before bed.

*Make sure to have eyebrows and facial waxing done at least 4 days prior to the big day. Any sooner could result in tender spots and the makeup may not be as smooth.

On the Wedding Day:

*Put moisturizer on at least 1/2 hour before your makeup application. You will want it to soak into the skin and not conflict with your foundation.

*Always use a shadow base to prevent eyeshadow from creasing.

*In order to prevent eye liner from running, always go over it with a coordinating eye shadow. Using a damp brush will allow the color to set and wear for hours.

*Make sure to wear a pretty blush on your special day. Pale pink is best for fair skins and a rose or plum color usually works best for darker skins.

*Remember that the makeup application should be slightly more than normal to allow for pictures. You should look like yourself, only prettier.

*For black and white pictures, a white shadow or creamy shimmer shadow should be applied under the brow bone. This will allow the camera to capture your soft dramatic look. A dab of lip gloss applied in the center of the lips is also great for those black and whites.

*Do not use powder to set your lipstick. It will only look dry and cakey. Start with a lip pencil and fill in the entire lip if desired. Follow with a couple layers of satin lipstick, blotting in between applications. A touch of gloss will add a little shine to your smile.

*Nails always look best when done in natural and sheer pink shades. They will look clean, fresh and will not draw attention to any chipping.

Your emergency kit for the big event should include the following items:

1. Compact powder, preferably an oil-blotting one

2. Lipstick, lip pencil and possibly lip gloss

3. Tissues or handkerchief for trapping tears

4. Fragrance

%26gt; How to Look Your Best in Front of the Camera

Tips:

When it comes to doing your make-up, don’t fall victim to the saying “more is better”. Use the same shades of make-up that you normally wear and don’t make any radical changes to your looks.

Remember, you want to ENHANCE your looks with make-up …not cover them up!

Consider using a professional make-up artist. They are trained to understand camera lighting and angles, and how to accentuate your BEST features and minimize others. HOWEVER, always do a “test run” before the wedding day!

Do a TEST RUN with hair and make-up just the way you are going to wear it on your wedding day. Have someone take several pictures from different angles and with different facial expressions. Then, look at the pictures. Do you like what you see? Too much make-up or not enough? How about the hair style? Too much height or not enough? If something doesn’t look right start again and do another test run until everything looks just right.

It is important to actually TAKE pictures of yourself because it can give you a different perspective rather than just looking in the mirror.

Make sure that you bring along a small make-up bag to “FRESHEN UP” during the day. All you need is some translucent or pressed powder to absorb any shine and some lipstick. If you’re outside taking pictures, bring along some blotting paper which works great to absorb moisture without rubbing off your make-up.

When discussing the type of pictures to take with your photographer, keep in mind that full length photographs capture all the beauty and magnificence of the wedding dress, wedding attire and beautiful scenery or backdrops. Close-up or half length (above the waist) photographs better capture facial expressions and reveal more emotions. So, it’s a good idea to get a mix of both types of shots.

Particularly if you are taking pictures before the ceremony, remember to RELAX in front of the camera. If you’re feeling nervous or anxious, this can show in the camera by your facial expression, your posture and smile.

On your wedding day, you're going to be in front of the camera and you're going to be smiling! Take a break every so often and change your expression and move/exercise the muscles around your mouth. If you don't, your facial expressions in your photographs may look ';strained';.

When taking your wedding portraits, sometimes it’s better to choose a ';SIMPLE'; background (with nice, soft lighting) rather than an elaborate one. A ';busy looking'; backdrop or sometimes a floral garden landscape can take away from the picture and distract from the focal point - which is the bride and groom. The location you select should also have plenty of open shade. Bright sunny areas will cause you and your family to squint!

When your photographer is taking candid pictures during the reception, DON’T look at the camera! The beauty of a candid shot is capturing the magic and emotion of a particular moment when people in the photograph are interacting with each other.

*Most importantly, do your best to enjoy your day and don't forget to smile!
