First of all, Congrats

Hope you have a beautiful wedding.

Here are some sites I looked up that can help you

You can apply the make up yourself, just look at this videos:

1. http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-apply-wedding-day-and-bridal-make-up

2.http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-apply-bridal-makeup-part-one

You can also do the hair yourself or just go to your local hair salon and just show them the kind of hairstyles you want, with these websites, you can also explain to them specifically how you want it done.

Here are some pix:

Here is also a great website on how to maintain your budget on all wedding things:

Good Luck :-)I need Makeup and Hair for Wedding?
Don't go through a salon- talk directly to hair dressers and offer cash.

I paid like 1,000 for Professional makeup and hair for 7 people- the salons quoted like 2-3 grand.

Also look for students- also check out places like the hair cuttery and look for young girls just starting out. Have them do a test on you before hiring them.
maybe there's a cosmetology school or paul mitchell salon near you, usually they're very very cheap.

Bare Escentuals is soft makeup that will highlight your features and show your natural beauty all day/night. Perfect wedding makeup! It's not heavy you won't look like a clown lol and it lasts :)

Use foundation, concealer (the concealer should be one shade lighter than your skin tone) and powder.

Pick a tri-color makeup palette with soft shades that compliment your eye color. Lightest color goes on your Brow-bone, darkest color on the crease of your eyes, and the in between color on your eyelids up to the crease.

Lightly line your eyes using an eyeliner pencil.

Waterproof mascara is a must!

Line your lips with the same color of your lipstick use a little gloss.I am a future bride and would like to know what would be the best makeup to wear for my wedding?
how about getting it done for you? or even visit a clinique stand and they will find a foundation that works well with you for your skin that is light and lasts.
Since you normally don't wear makeup everday I wouldn't go overboard for your wedding day. Go with something that brings out your natural features and enhances what you have. Since your fiance is used to your natural beauty you don't wanna walk down that aisle looking totally like someone else.

I would lean towards MAC cosmetics because of the beautiful flawless coverage that it offers. The coverage is excellent for photo shoots on your day.

Here are links to (the best...in my opinion) wedding tutorials. Depending on what type of skin you have I posted both for you:

What you normally wear, don't overdo it.

OOooo!!! Then you should have it professionally done. Tell them you still want to look natural, because if you don't normally wear it you might feel strange wearing a bunch all of a sudden. Plus you don't want to buy a whole bunch of makeup just to use once.
use bright colors.

when my cousin (in-law?) got married she looked amazing.

she wore heavy eyeliner and a gold color eyeshadow

she had pink blush and a light pink lipstick

everyone said she looked amazing.
Hi there,

First of all congratulations!

I'm a makeup artist and I've seen many bridal makeovers.

It depends on how much you want to spend on makeup, otherwise try out MAC makeup. MAC makeup I'm very familiar with and MAC is great for bridal makeup.

Brides this year I've learned love their cheeks to be ';bronzed up'; rather than your usual blush. Bronzer/bronzing powder keeps your cheeks radiant and it gives it that little sparkle and keeps it glowing. Literally! It's beautiful.

As for eyes, I would definitely try to stray from really really bold colors like Orange, Purple, Blue.

I would try to recommend going for neutral colors, because you want to look natural and all you want to do is just have your eyes brighter and looking natural.

Judging from your avatar you have brown hair,

so I would try going for midtone browns and beiges and pearly peaches, especially since your wedding is going to be in the summer.

you can even add a little touch of a goldish pale green since you have brown hair and brown eyes I believe.

As for eyeliner, work with a soft black or dark brown and a black or dark brown mascara.

GOOD LUCK GIRL! AND I'M SURE YOU'LL LOOK BEAUTIFUL!

Hope this helped! xo
If you're going for a more dramatidc look then i would recommend going to your nearest MAC counter and asking one of them to do it for you. But you have to make an appointment ahead of time. But if your looking for a more natural look, I'd go with Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover. Hope this helps!
I would get it done professionally, tell them you want to look natural, but keep in mind that for you to look your best in photos, you will be wearing more than any person would ever usually wear. The professional will know how to apply the right amount for photos as well as making it last all day. Your best bet for brands is Clinique as they have the most natural colors
Do something you find flattering. Anything over-the-top and you might regret one of the best days in your life. For lips go with something pretty like a pink lipstick with gold flecks. For eyes go with a silky satiny shadow. Choose the colors and you'll be on your way!

Recommendations for Bridal makeup for wedding?

please drop in your recommendations as to what make up needs to be done,...Recommendations for Bridal makeup for wedding?
you need a flawless finish. exfoliate super well ( i love clinique's exfoliating scrub). use a good primer (i like bare escentuals, smashbox is good, too) super duper under eye concealer. make sure you line the eyes well for pictures- use black mascara. neutral eyeshadows. and pink lips! i would put blush on the apples of your cheeks, too. it's all about the application.Recommendations for Bridal makeup for wedding?
make sure to keep (or get) a great skin care regimen specifically for your skin types for at least 1 month before the wedding. wear a long-lasting foundation, and waterproof eye makeup. wear all colors slightly heavier than you normally would, because camera lights will wash you out. congrats and best wishes!

try chimare mineral makeup. I used it for my wedding and my makeup was the most amazing I have ever had done. The pics looked awesome and it stayed on all day. All you need is a great base foundation- thats the key. Keep the rest really classically beautiful such as natural pinks/browns on your eyes, mascara ( waterproof!!) eyeliner for a bit of definition, blush and a nice rose/pinky brown lipstick- preferably a stay on that wont leave marks anywhere! You want to look like you have a flawless glow on your wedding day, not made up like your hitting the nightclubs.

I wish you all the best for your wedding- it will be the best day of your life!

Wedding Makeup for mu sisters wedding?

Im going to my sister's wedding next weekend and she is hiring a professional makeup artist to do the jr. bridesmaid makeup..All i have to do is pick what kind of makeup to do. So i need help..Im 16 by the way..this is my pik..http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/48/l_98f0454e246b5bc93d7150caaf463377.jpg

BTW, im wearing eyeliner and lipglossWedding Makeup for mu sisters wedding?
You shouldn't have to pick your makeup if a professional makeup artist is going to do your makeup. They bring everything and you tell he/she what you want. You didn't say the age of the jr. but they are so young (usually between 8 %26amp; 14) that they don't usually wear much makeup. Either way, the makeup artist is supposed to take care of everything.Wedding Makeup for mu sisters wedding?
all attention should be on your sister, so just ask for a neutral look, nothing too flashy, you just want it to look natural

  • Wedding day makeup colors?

I am meeting with a couple makeup artists next week to start figuring out who to use for my makeup on my wedding day. I have no idea what I like (don't usually wear makeup) or what to suggest to them. I have red hair and very light skin. I know I want something more natural and not dramatically dark (no overly dark lashes or red lipstick) because it just makes me look sick. I'm thinking more of a light pink for lips and lighter eyeshadow and blush? What do you think and what colors would you suggest for different things? Thanks!Wedding day makeup colors?
FOR THE EYES:Natural tones; gray, nude, light brown, sage green, or tan. Jewel tones; emerald shimmery eye shadow, blue ( Sapphire), perhaps some metallic tones, silver, gold or bronze.

FOR THE LIPS AND CHEEKS: Try light roses in various shades.

I am not a make up person but when I do wear it I wear Bare Minerals, my favorite eye shadow is Nude Beach, it's a lose powder that you apply with a artist brush, it's really light but adds just enough shimmer. Also Burt's Bees makes a fantastic lip gloss, and tinted chap-stick in various shades of rose and browns and pinks. You can find their products at Target.

    Hope that helps!

    God Bless!Wedding day makeup colors?
Try a pink gloss, and nothing too dark on the eyes. Oh, and be sure to use brown mascara instead of black. It will look much better with your coloring, especially if your eyelashes are naturally light.
Virtual Makeover. You can play with colors and find a look you will love. Then it shows you how to apply your new look. Just click the link below
Use a light natural tone yo nothing too heavy or loud...
I think a peachy rose blush would look great on you and a shimmery pinky-peach lipstick would be good also. For eyeshadow maybe a golden brown something with a little bit of gold...not too much. You want to be glowing on your wedding day!
i think it looks pretty when the face is all a nudish color and the eyes are dark.

check out the movie: ';the wedding date'; and look at the scene were the sister is getting married, they show a close-up on her face and how her make-up is.
I think that on your wedding day your make up should enhance your natural beauty.

You don't want to walk down the aisle wearing hideous colours just keep it natural and glow!

Neutral coloured gloss for your lips make them look bigger, highlighting lotion on you cheeks instantly makes your face light up and subtle colours on your eyes will make them pop!

I would start with a tinted moisturiser, a little bronzer on the areas of the face that the sun would kiss naturally i.e. forehead nose cheeks, natural colours on the eyes and highlighting lotion just to add that extra sparkle - benefits high beam is excellent for this.

Discuss the ';natural look'; with the make up artist on your visit.

Good luck and all the best for your big day.
Well,I don't really know but You should ask your make up artist!!! they probably have alot of experience on what makeup colors go on what people!! But dont be afraid to experiment with differnt shades. Go for an original look!!!! : )
I think that for your eyes, a gold or shimmery lavender color will look gorgeous. For lips, stick with a light pink and clear lip gloss. Also, a little bit of light pink blush will look amazing.

    Good luck =)
    Something natural.
You cant go wrong with soft earthtoned eyeshadows. Use a light off-white shade to highlight the browboneee and perhaps a taupee or peach on the lid. Blend well! Stay away from frosted eyeshadows. Use a black, waterproof mascara on the top lashes, and a waterproof pencil to line the top lid. Try navy, charcoal, or dark brown for lininggg.

for blush Pink or Rose Blush Tones and Nude Pink Blush or for a more dramatic look use Coral or Tan Blush Tones
Whatever you end up choosing gettin done on your wedding day, it should be something you feel comfortable wearing.
i think u should go with a pinkish color with some shine for ur lip color and a pinky color or bronze color for eyeshadow. also i suggest not to use to much blush cuz then ur face will look too flushed.
Hi, I actually read these really good articles about wedding makeup tips, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

    http://www.carefair.com/Makeup/Bridal_Ma鈥?/a>

    http://www.carefair.com/Makeup/Wedding_D鈥?/a>
A light, shimmery purple for your lids, it'll make your eyes pop and just a touch of brown mascara, light pinks cheeks and a pink lip would great.

I have red hair(right now) and very fair skin and a pink cheek makes a world of difference!
pinks and browns go really good with light skin tones
If you don't normally wear make up to begin with, I would definitely suggest going for a natural look. If your wedding is an evening event, why not do something a little bit smoky for your eyes with nude lips? It's classic and very pretty without being overly drastic (you don't want to shock the groom!). If it's an afternoon/daytime affair, go for something light and airy that will make your eyes really shine and bring out the color.

    Good luck and congratulations!
I think go with something soft and natural, and waterproof makeup... never red lipstick. Make sure it is kissable too or your hubby will wear the same shade... Congrats

Wedding makeup blues... Is bare escentuals mineral good for the bride makeup and photography?

So I went for a trial today ($80) and the makeup artitst costs $350 for one day... one hour of work. I truly hated her work. The eye makeup was great but everything else (foundation, blush, etc) was horrible. She tried air brush on half the face and regular foundation on the other side and within an hour, I looked tired and the makeup was oily and really heavy.

So I've decided to just do my own makeup. I use mineral makeup and it stays well on my skin and I know how to make it all heavy etc. Question though... has anyone used mineral makeup for professional photos or do they not work? I'm thinking of getting the Bare Escentuals kit and MAC eye shadows and lipstick and doing my own makeup and get the hair professionally done...

Thoughts, advice, ideas?Wedding makeup blues... Is bare escentuals mineral good for the bride makeup and photography?
hey I'm going to do my own make up too, and paying for my hair to be done.

if it stays well on your skin after u tried it, u should stick to it. remember to use a primer. it makes a world of difference. it holds your make up the whole day and keeps it matt.

best way to tell is to try out yourself. ask someone to take some photos for u with your make up on, n c how u look. pay attention to questions like, if the coverage is enough; eye shadow colour is too little/much, blusher colour, lip colour, etc.

congrats!Wedding makeup blues... Is bare escentuals mineral good for the bride makeup and photography?
Don't use BE it has bismuth and will reflect light. This will give you make you look pale. It is one of the worst makeups to use for photos. MAC would work better for photos but it is very heavy and may start to melt off by the end of the day. I would also suggest you try the Bee Luscious brand. It is very light and it will not reflect the light. You get the best of both worlds with it.
YESSSSSSS mine turned out FABULOUSLY. My face looked so perfect in all of my wedding photos. It looked like movie star skin! And my natural skin is far from perfect so it was all in the makeup. I used the regular Bare Minerals foundation with mineral veil.

Good luck on your big day! :)
I think both of those are great choices. I personally use Bare Escentuals and MAC daily. The only thing I would suggest is a primer underneath the eye pigments, and a lip liner underneath the lipgloss/lipstick to hold color longer.

    Congrats!
I think its a good choice especially mineral vail it makes your face glow in the sun.
I am a professional makeup artist for over 29 years, I have used many brands and have done tons of bridal makeovers.

First Bare Minerals would be the biggest mistake for wedding pictures you only get one shot so you have to have the perfect products to with stand the entire day. Bare Mineral products cake and flake off and it does not last more than 2 hours if that without constant touch ups which you will not have the time for.

I will give you my success secret for all my clients go to www.beeluscious.com and first get sampples of the liquid minerals for color match once you have the right color match buy their photo touch mineral foundation in the same color it comes with its own built in brush for perfect application it is formulated specifically for flawless pictures and 8+ hours of strong hold no touch ups.I also suggest for makeup their timeless bridal collection they have a 30% off sale from now til the 25th no min. order just enter the code christmas all in lowercase your cost will be 1/2 if not even less than the way you are thinking and the makeup will be ';Timeless'; your pictures will be flawless from begining to end I stake my reputation on it.

I am editing for the sake of the rude person calling me an idiot. Go to infomercialscams dot com and read many of the choice complaints by many people using bare minerals and hating it for many reasons I went ahead and did the research for you as a professional that wants to help.

I've been a makeup artist for about 5 years and I feel like I know a good makeup line when I see one. I was convinced Bare Minerals would actually be great for my clients because it was all natural and believed what the commercials said. After testing the products on customers that come into my job, I totally downgraded my opinion. For women to think that POWDER will leave their skin looking soft, natural, and flawless have another thing coming, especially if you have dry skin. When you have good skincare, your makeup and your skin will be great as well. They go hand in hand. The sad part about this is, is that Bare Minerals is SO messy, and yet women feel like this stuff is Jesus Christ in the form of loose powder. No way will I ever recommend this crap to my clients, especially my clients of color. No matter how many times I've done an application on a darker skinned client, it always looks ashy and white, even if i use very little. The brushes are hard and scratchy and always fall out. They're always claiming to be the best on the market. They aren't. Because it's still makeup no matter what these women think. PEOPLE REACT DIFFERENTLY TO MAKEUP. No makeup is completely safe. Invest in something you feel would be best for you. Don't believe the hype just because all these psychotic women feel like BM is the best on the market. I hope this company goes under, seriously.

Bare Minerals is a waste of money. Besides being ultra messy, it does not provide the flawless coverage they bang on about. It settles into even the smallest lines making them very noticeable! It cakes up after you have it on for a few hours. If you are unlucky enough to drop one of those horrid little containers then you spill all the product out and are S.O.L! bismuth oxychloride is arsenic! google it! i too fell for this scam. i purchased some items from sephora while visiting in las vegas. i spent 28.00 on their kabuki, 25.00 for .85 grams of foundation and 19.00 for the .85 grams of mineral veil(which is all cornstarch) i could have gotten the right from my cupboard! total spent was 72.00. i was all excited to get back to the hotel and try it on. i followed the simple directions the store clerk gave me and wah lah, boohooo! it gave such a shiny appearance to my face i think i saw my reflection! but i thought well everyone else seems to like it so i will give it a whirl. within hours my face started itching and burning terribly. i couldnt understand what was going on and thought maybe it was just the heat in vegas. i stopped wearing it til i got back home a few days later and tried again. within hours there i was burning and itching. by morning i was covered in welts! i called my dr immediately and went in to see what she had to say. when i told her i had tried the i.d. bare minerals she told me to stop using it right away. she informed me that their very main ingredient bismuth oxychloride was the culprit and she had seen it many times. she said that it was a form of arsenic that had not yet been evaluated by the fda. i really liked the idea of the all natural stuff so i started researching on my own and found tons of mineral companies that sell bismuth free minerals and some do not even use cornstarch in their veils. i tried one i found on the internet and 2 brands from ebay. omg what a difference! all 3 were very comparable and none of them made me itch. prices were about 60-70% less than b.e. bareminerals is a rip off.
